I'm going to start my dream journal now. I wrote down my dream as soon as I awoke this morning, and I plan to do so every morning from now on. I was pretty surprised. As I wrote down the dream, it was a little hard to remember. But then later, when I read it, everything in my dream became completely clear and I remembered it all. Normal dreams will be Red. Lucid dreams will be Green. Any real world things or comments will be black. Now, here is where I start. November 23, 2007: The day after Thanksgiving. This dream has a lot with what I was doing. I had been playing a game called Deus Ex, which has to do with government conspiracies, and I had also looked them up on the internet that day. I had a pistol in hand, a baseball cap atop my head, and socks on my feet. I was a member of MJ-12, and my mission: Find and confinsgate any alien DNA on a jet. I walked down the aisle and look for something suspicsous. I saw a seat with a bunch of salt shakers in it; nothing to odd. I walked further down the aisle and turned a corner. I saw some child playing a video game in the corner, but I ignored him. He probably had his reasons for being in a forbidden area. I walked further down and saw a yellow door. It had the words "SALT CHAMBERS" on it. I figured this jet transported salt. I kicked down the door and there were dozens upon dozens of crates of salt! This room must be dangerous, so I better proceed with caution, I thought. I pointed my pistol out in front of me. "Give yourself up!" I shouted, for no apparent reason. I walked forward and saw a microwave. I pushed some random buttons on it, only to turn on the light in the room. With the light on, I walked around the room some more. I heard a noise behind one of the crates. I looked around it and found a live alien! It stared me in the eyes, and I was frozen with terror. Then, my sister came into the the room. "How do they reproduce?" She asked. "I don't know! Maybe they don't!" I shouted at her. I grabbed a crate of salt and poured it on the alien. The creature melted and then the jet soon became what looked like my living room. I turned on the TV. I woke up in my room and checked to make sure I was actually awake. Realizing I was, I quickly wrote down the dream. Obviously, I did not succeed in becoming lucid this time. But I know I will eventually. Comment as much as you want.

I did not get much sleep, nor did I have enough to enter REM sleep, so I didn't even get to have a dream. I went to bed at about 11:30 PM, and by 3:00 AM, I still couldn't get to sleep. So I went to my kitchen and drank a glass of milk and ate a sandwich, then went back. I dozed off, but when I woke up, it was 3:40, still not enough sleep for me to enter REM. Well, If I did, I didn't remember what the dream was about. I didn't think to try to recall it because I didn't think I had enough sleep to have one. So, I just lay there for a while until it was 7:00 AM. Then I got up, drank a bottle of Vault, and played Super Smash Brothers Melee for a while. I drank a Vault, so I'll have some energy for a while, but in a few hours, I'm going to fall asleep most likely. Maybe then I'll have a dream. Stay crunchy, men!

This time, I remembe two dreams. There might be a third one, but I don't remember if it was a lucid dream or just me thinking. So, any confused dreams will be blue. I set my alarm to wake me up about 110 minutes away from that moment before I went to bed. I was going to try WBTB.I closed my eyes and fell asleep before too long. I was in a house that was not mine. I walked around a big room that had nothing in it. I walked into what seemed like a bathroom with a sword by the toilet. I picked it up and put it in my pocket. I walked out and then went into what looked like a bedroom, but the bed was hovering above me. There were two hobos on top of it, talking. I decided to eavsdrop on them. "Do you have any dimes?" "No, I lost my job down at the frying pan." "What did you do this time?" "I told my boss about how sad I am because my family all died, I am homeless, and I have AIDS!" "And so he fired you because he didn't like you to complain?" "Yep." As I listened to their conversation, I heard a bell ring, but it wasn't a normal bell. It sound like it was rusted and needed WD40. As it rang, the hobos started to dance on the bed, then jumping off. They were dancing, and dancing, and dancing,until I woke up to the sound of my alarm. The bell I heard in my dream was my alarm going off. It was 2:35 AM. I got out of bed, went to the bathroom, got a glass of water, and went to my computer and read an article about lucid dreaming. After reading it, I decided to try WBTB the way I heard from another web site. My mind was awake and my body was tired, so I went back to bed and closed my eyes. I started counting "1, I am dreaming" over and over, all the way to, I think 30. Here is where my confused dream starts. I can't tell whether it was a lucid dream or just me thinking. "30, I am dreaming." a voice said. "I must bedreaming." I thought. I thought that it might be a lucid dream, and naturally I got excited. A bit too excited, and the dream started to fade away. I started to calm myself and started spinning. When I stopped, I was in the location of my dream a few days ago, on a jet. But this time, I wasn't with MJ-12. I was just me. "Maybe I can jump through the roof of this jet." I thought to myself.Right here, for some reason, I lost lucidity, and woke up. I checked the time. It was about 5:00 AM. It could have been a lucid dream, but I am still not entirely sure. I think I could still hear the fan blowing in my room, so I think it could have just been my thoughts. I went back to bed. I was in a shopping mall, and there were hundreds of people around me. I walked around, doing nothing, when out of one of the outlets, a huge green monster ran out screaming "MY NAME IS DIANA!" All the other people started running, but I stayed there. I pulled a shining ball out of my pocket and pointed it at the monster. A beam of golden energy shot out of it. It hit the monster and it exploded green blood everywhere. "Take that, Diana! You sure are ugly!" I taunted it's corpse. Someone came up to me. "I'm not ugly, you b****!" She yelled at me. She ran off crying. I figured her name, too, was Diana.I woke up there. Comment as you please.

I didn't update yesterday, because I didn't remember anything. Today I remember something. I have tried HILD, WILD, WBTB, FILD, and DILDs, I've been keeping a dream journal, I've been doing reality checks, and I still haven't had a lucid dream. I guess I shouldn't rush these things, but I want one of these more than I want anything else right now. More than an xbox360, more than a laptop, anything! Well, here is my dream from this morning, not too long. I was walking around in a strange house that I had never been in before. It was large, but somewhat familiar. I sat down at the large dining table I saw in the middle of the floor. THe house seemed like it was my own. I started to eat a sandwich, when I heard a strange noise. It came from my bathroom. It must be a wild midi file, I thought. I figured it was probably a kid playing with a blowtorch in my shower. That is when I woke up. It was very short, and very...odd. Comment as you want, and if possible, some other tips on having lucid dreams. I think I should be due for one soon.

I took a nap today. I was trying to test if I could make myself fall asleep, and then try FILD or WILD. I was able to make myself fall asleep, but when I awoke, I forgot to try FILD or anything. But, at least I can make myself fall asleep. I don't remember my dream too well, except it had to do with paintbrushes. I can't really write anything else. Again, any tips on how to induce lucid dreams would be much appreciated. I really, really,REALLY want to do this!(REALLY!)

First I would spend as much time thinking about lucid dreaming as possible through the day. Before going to bed try to run through some exciting dream scenes in your head to get really excited about it. What I do is use MILD or atleast somethign similar to that. Iuse the repetition "I will remember my dreams" "I will be lucid" "The next thing I see will be a dream" and "this is all a dream". Depending on how tired I am depends on what I use ie the more tired the more I use short phrases. that tends to work for me

EDIT: The day might me the 28th, I can't remember Still haven't had a lucid dream, dang it. But, I'm not going to give up, so I'm still posting every dream I remember. I was surprised with this dream, as it was not silly like my other ones. It was a romantic dream, and with someone I didn't even know. I felt a little odd about posting this at first, but I got over it. Just a reminder: Normal dreams are RED. Lucid dreams will be GREEN. Any real world activities and comments will be BLACK. She and I were alone, under a tree, by an unknown house.(I will call her XAB since I have no idea who she was.)I had a warm feeling inside me. It was night, and I could perfectly see all the stars, the constollations, the full moon, and there was no light pollution to hide the sight. It seemed so real, I heard the crickets chirping, I saw each individual blade of grass. I even did a reality check in the dream, and it looked like it was real. I turned my head and looked at XAB. She had long, red and blonde hair. She wore a black shirt and blue jeans, but for an no reason, no shoes. She turned her head to look at me as I was looking at her. Our heads grew closer, our lips touched, and then I woke up. We had been kissing for about 5 minutes in the dream before I woke up. My throat was pretty dry, so I drank the rest of my glass of water and wrote down the dream. In my opinion, this was the best dream I've had in a long time. Comment as you like, as always.

It seemed so real, I heard the crickets chirping, I saw each individual blade of grass. I even did a reality check in the dream, and it looked like it was real. So close! Sounds like you're on the right track. I've had my best lucids when I wanted it so bad I could taste it.

I would not be to concerned about posting romantic dreams, no one will judge you and trust me lol there is a lot worse stuff around the djs ...lol a lot of filth in mine ha ha as far as your LDs they will come and the more you want it the better it will be when you get it

I decided to take a day off from trying to have a lucid dream, because it was causing me a little stress, and that will give me a rough sleep, if any sleep at all. So, I just went to sleep normally and recorded my dream. And I woke up with a VERY soar throat. I was a cameraman for a reality show called "How Young Celebrities Take Showers". I was supposed to interview a bunch of young famous people and find out how they take their showers. Strangely, they were all wearing clothes that said Survivor on them, and I had never heard of them before. I interviewed the first one, Chippo. Yes, that was her name. "How do you take your shower?" "Well, I leave the bathroom and shower door open, because I'm afraid I might drown. I also take my shower only before dinner time, because my feet are dirty." Second, I interviewd a woman named Yellow. "How do you take showers?" "I never really turn the water on. I have a tape recording of water that I play so my parents actually think I'm taking one. I sit in the sink and just eat cookies." "Now, you must stink." "How DARE you?!" She yelled. She slapped me, and I woke up. Comment away.

ahhaahaa...that's crazy! That is one of the most humorous dreams I've read in a while...of all things "I sit in the sink and eat cookies" hhahha....I can't get over that. Har har a tape recording of water...you know, dreams have a way of making sense when your involved and mimicking possible daily happenings but later on you kick yourself. Hrm..those names also are kind of crazy.."Yellow" and "Chippo"...not very gurly. But anyway..you tell those hilarious stinky girls!

Since its the weekend now and I have time, I'm going to be working hard on inducing a lucid dream. I'm going to try every method I know of, WILD, MILD, FILD, DILD, HILD, WBTB, and maybe something else I didn't post. I'm pretty sure it's about time I succeed. If not... I'll just have to try again, dang it. Now, it's not just a quest to have some fun at night. It's not about being able to brag to people at school that I can do anything I want(because you can do anything in a dream), it isn't jsut a game anymore. Now... It's personal.... Yeah, so dramatic. I've never had a chance to say that before.Yipee!

Well, last night just was not a good night. I planned to do a WBTB, but my alarm clock stopped working at around 11:00 PM, and I didn't feel like going out that late to get a new one. I couldn't find my phone, either. And the chance of me having a natural one was a little low, because I was under some stress. So, I thought about this. I would stay up until I was extremely tired and started having hallucinations. Then I would focus on one thing, but not on the hallucination. Then maybe, I would enter a dream. The first few times, I got excited when the hallucination showed up, and it went away. Then eventually, I was calm and focused. I started hearing all sorts of music from several different video games I've played in the past. I saw... alligators that were purple in my mind. I wasn't in a dream just yet though, because I could still hear the fan blowing in my room. I think this is when I entered a dream. There was a purple alligator in front of me. He was staring at a toy store. He looked back at me and giggled. Then I realized something.Hey, that is the same alligator I saw in my hallucinations! But, I don't think I'm hallucinating anymore.I was in what I think was a lucid dream, because I realized I was dreaming. But sadly, before I could do anything, one of my cats jumped on me in RL and poked it's claws in my legs, causing me to wake up. I don't think I'm going to count this as a lucid dream. At first, with all the stress and everything going on, and then my cat waking me up during the dream, I thought it was an omen telling me I'm not meant to have lucid dreams. But then, I thought it was a challenge. My mind was simply challenging me. It doesn't think I'm put out for this kind of thing! But I'll show it! I'm going to to look this challenge right in the face, head straight for it, tackle it, then run to my goal while it's squirming on the ground! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA! ...maybe I'm going crazy too......

You show your mind! You were very close...that was indeed hypnagogic imagery to begin...good call. I agree..it's a delicate balance to not get too excited when right on the border between Sleep and dreams..it's easy to wake fully, but you've gotta remain in that intermediate stage... Purple animals...ah, a dream cliche' but hey, they got you lucid..shame your cat had to jump on you...perhaps it would be a good idea to shut the door when attempting some techniques? Just a thought..You're moving along though clearly...if it weren't for the cat that would have been an ideal LD.

The cat got in because of a hole in my bathroom. I have a bathroom in my room, and there is a hole that leads to the laundry room. Someone opened the door to the laundry room and didn't see the cat go in. I guess I should have also shut my bathroom door too.

Well, I didn't update the last two days, but I got two new video games late on saturday, and my attention was drawn somewhere else. I might of had a lucid dream on saturday, but I didn't get much sleep because I was staying up playing the new games. On sunday, I had forgotten about it. Tonight, I'm gonna try again tonight. Here is the dream I had this morning. I was in my school, and I was climbing the stairs to my band room. The door was hard to open, so eventually I kicked it down. I walked in and saw my friends walking around, and kids with machine guns. The window was busted, and there were axes strapped all along the walls. I walked in to say hi to one of my friends, when the band teacher walked up to me with an angry expression. He pulled something from his pocket. He thrusted it into my stomach and started to shock me with a taser. He screamed as he did so and walked off when he was done. I couldn't move, and fell over. After hitting the floor hard, I awoke. I think it's a little weird, because everytime my band teacher is in mine or any other of my friends' dreams, he is evil. Comment as you like.

I have not been trying as hard to have a lucid dream lately, but I still am trying a bit. It's not my number one concern anymore. But, I'll still record this stuff, I will still try to induce lucid dreams, and in time, I'll be back in the business. I was the commander of an army, and we were at war with Germany. I had millions of soldiers at command, though I was never actually on the battle field. I carried out commands from my base far away, and I used chess boards and risk boards. Whatever I did on the board actually happened. Now, I could have made myself win the war, because whatever I did on the board happened to the battlefield, but I still played fair and by the rules. I would role dice on the risk boards, and only moves soldiers the coorect way they could on the chess board. Not the most exciting dream when I try to describe, but it was really cool back inside.

That latest dream actually sounded really very unique. I've never had one like that. The idea of controlling an armies' actions with a chessboard..I think there are movies on this concept as well. I thought it was funny how you "played by the rules" with the Germans on a chessboard..heh. Eh, Just give this effort when you want and when you've got time...obviously RL things come first. OKAY! I haven't updated in a while, but I have the best reason ever. I couldn't! I live in Oklahoma, and some people may have heard of the massive ice storm that hit us. We have now had the worst power black out in Oklahoma's history, and some people still don't have power after five days. My town had their power turned on yesterday, though. So, I haven't been able to get online. Now, for some good news, I had a lucid dream over this period of ice! It was very short, but I remember it completely! And I didn't even have to try! I'll describe it. Now, first of all, this isn't what I've always wanted to do in a lucid dream, but I was feeling a little... sexual... so I did what I currently felt doing. I woke up in my bed, and looked around. It was still dark out and the power still wasn't on. I couldn't see what time it was, but I could hear my clock ticking on the wall. But, I realized the clock was ticking a little to fast. The seconds were going much faster than they usually do.Obviously, this was a false awakening!Hey, the clock shouldn't tick that fast! This isn't right! I thought. Then I realized that this must be a dream!Now, here is where I became lucid. Now, I think it's weird that some people say that it's hard to create DCs, but it was very easy for me. And remember, this isn't what my original plan was for my first lucid dream! I was just feeling different. The reason why I emphasize this is because I don't want you to get the wrong idea about me! I'm not normally this kind of person, even in my dreams! Now, on with the lucid dream.I stood up and stood in front of my bed. I was going to create someone on the bed. I didn't know how, so I tried my own little way. I visualized some form of energy taking the shape of a human on my bed, and then I started to imagine the colors on the force of energy. Then, I attempted to create some form of personaility in my mind, and then put it into the creation. And it worked! There was a very attractive woman on the bed, and we... woopeed... You know what I mean. At first, since I knew it was a dream, I thought I wouldn't feel anything. Then, when we were... heeeeyyy... I felt it! I got very excited, and wokeup. Now, the fun part of the dream only lasted about 5 seconds, so it wasn't too much fun. But, I have finally had a lucid dream that I am SURE of! REMEMBER! Though this dream may make me sound like a pervert, I am not that kind of person! It was just because I was feeling...different. I really don't wwant people to get the wrong idea! Now, comments galore!
