I'm walking on the sidewalk of an relatively empty city. It is night time, but everything I need or want to see is visible due to the various lights from the surrounding apartment buildings and shops. I have a close, but unidentifiable friend accompanying me. He suggests we go into a bar/night club on the right side of the street. Because he has a fake ID, he is able to walk straight in without any questions. I, on the other hand, have to find my own way in. I have no fake ID.
I pull some move on the bouncer that would absolutely never work in real life, put apparently it works on dream bouncers. I don't remember exactly what the move was, but I think I held a beer in my left hand so the bouncer could see it and strolled in like I had walked out for a cigarette.
I'm inside and the club is crowded. It is difficult to move and very dark, so I don't see any chance of me finding my original companion. As I'm walking around, I noticed a kid from my school. He is playing some odd variation of beer pong with a fat man I've never seen before. They are bouncing the ping-pong ball off of a slope and trying to make it into the classic, plastic blue and red party cups. As I walk up to them, I notice Dakota and since she hasn't yet noticed me yet, I decide to surprise her. I grab her from behind and she quickly turns around and greets me. She is very drunk. Wasted.
After a short, casual conversation, I remember her loudly asking me, "What are you wearing?"
I look down, and I am wearing my usual t-shirt and jeans, but as I look around, everyone else is dressed in a collared shirt and nice pants. A little embarrassed, I decide to go get a drink. As I walk up to the bar and order, and older man confronts me and questions my age. He orders me to show him my ID and threatens to throw me in jail if I don't comply. Nervously, I explain that I don't have it on me, it is in my car. He misunderstands me at first, so I correct him and he agrees to give me a few minutes to get my ID from my car outside.
My plan was to ditch him once I was out of his sight and do just that. I sprint as fast as I can to my friend's house, which was nearby. There I explain to him what had happened. He suggests we leave the area for a while, until the man forgets about what happened or no longer cares. He grabs his keys and we begin to walk to his car.
Not to far ahead, both of us notice a cop to the right. She gives us an extremely suspicious look, but we try to play it off. She pulls up behind us and flashes her lights and sirens. I walk up to calmly. She gives me a quick glance, looks down at a sketch that looks nothing like a human, much less me, and stares back at me again. I know I'm caught.
She rolls her window down, and tells me I'm under arrest. I sit on the floor and begin to cry with the thought in my head that from this point on, my life will never been the same. I've ruined my life.
The dream fades out at this point and I wake up at around 2:20 A.M. thinking it is much later than it actually is. I drift back to sleep.
When I reenter the dream, I am immediately lucid. Nothing I remember triggered it with the exception, possibly, of my thought before closing my eyes that I ruined my chance to reenter my dream and become lucid. For the majority of the dream, I attempt to summon Dakota, so we could finally hang out. Unfortunately, I'm not the greatest at summoning people, so the effort proves unsuccessful.
A thought comes to mind: Instead of summoning her, why not find her? Thats what I do. I knew the best place to look will most likely be the bar/night club from earlier in the dream. When I arrive at the location, in its place is a large outdoor concert. There is at least three hundred fans, dancing and cheering and singing along. I think I spot her, so I run across the crowd before she moves out of sight.
When I get close, I realize it is her blonde friend. She notices the disappointed look on my face and is saddened by it. I ask what is wrong and she responds in a soft tone that I never want to see her. I feel terrible. I reassure her that I had came back into my dream to see her and she is overjoyed.
As the dream fades out, I remember seeing Dakota's smiling face.
