      Why does my recall flucuate so much!?

      It's starting to effect my lucid dreaming,for the last few days i haven't remembered many dreams but last night I remembered 5 dreams!
      And I didn't do anything different,I've been going to bed around 10:30each night because I have to wake up early for school
      I keep a dj but I just can't get my recall to get steady (I guess that's how you say it)

      When did you start the DJ? Maybe you are just starting to remember more and get accustomed to it?

      i've been doing my dream journal since August 10th.
      almost 2 months
      sometimes my recall is steady for like a few days...it just changes so much

      Ah, then the problem may be your sleep schedule? Do you have a regular one?

      Sometimes bad dream recall is due to either stress or being very tired when going to bed.

      I know how you feel man. Just the other night I remembered about 10+ dreams! Then last night I could not remember a single one!

      I know, it sucks.
      I remember like 6 dreams awesomely then the next night i don't remember crap!
      I don't really have a steady sleep schedule...do you?

      I wish I had a steady sleep schedule! I usually only get about 4-5 hours of sleep a night and usually don't remember anything during those days.

      If it helps you at all, vitamin B6 seemed to help me a lot with dream recall and vividity last night.

      i think it naturally fluctuates, even for those w/ normally good recall and habits. of course some people seem to always have naturally great recall, and some seem to have virtually no natural recall at all, but im speaking in general terms.

      you can look at it this way: "is everyday of your waking life super memorable and exciting?" no, sometimes you have more boring work/homework days, or you are sick. sometimes you just need to rest and go easy. im starting to think that our dream cycles are also geared the same way, which helps me to stress less about bad recall days.

      "ah, no memory from last night. it must have been downtime for scheduled maintenance dreams."

      Stress, food, sleep schedule, they all greatly effect dream recall. Don't be surprised, this is pretty normal!

      If you'd like to secure dream recall basically every night, I would recommend a B-complex in the morning and 120-240mg Ginkgo Biloba extract every night.

      You would not BELIEVE the power of Ginkgo Biloba, I find it more effective than B6 and it will not cause you to lose sleep like B vitamins do.
