Black and white dreams and reality checks

My dreams are always in black and white. So in terms of reality checks, is that a simple thing to check for? "Is everything Black and White?" Yes - Dream, No - reality.
I've not seen this mentioned in any of the reality check tutorials, so I thought maybe there is some reason this won't work?
I'm hoping that when I become lucid I can turn up the color settings!

It's more of a dreamsign, a RC would be something you control to test reality.

      DS: Recurring dream character
      RC: Checking watch.

So when you see everything in black and white you should do a reality check.

      Ok, that makes sense, thanks.
It's a difficult one to practise then, as the only time I see things in Black and white is when I'm dreaming! Maybe that's somthing to repeat to myself as I fall asleep.

A reality check is simply anything you can do to check whether you are dreaming or awake. hence
the term "reality check". Checking for a dream sign, especially one that happens in all of your dreams,
can be a very good reality check. Its pretty cool that your dreams have that huge distinctions.

Yes, it should definatly be an advantage in becoming Lucid. It seems totally odd to me that people actually dream in colour!
Three days into my dream journal, and the first night I had four distinct dreams. Then the last two nights I have only had brief snatches. I've been practising checking if everything is in colour as a reality check all day, so hopefully over the next few nights that will settle in.
