Lightbulb Connection between Waking Journal and Dream Journal - Coincedence??

So earlier I was looking at another thread in this forum from a while ago, about improving your dream recall by writing in a waking journal. I've kept a waking journal since I was really young and even before I kept a dream journal I had good recall. I never really put the two together until I decided to compare my two current journals - one dream, one waking.

A few things stood out to me: over 80% if the time....
...the more I wrote in an entry in my waking journal, the more dreams and more vivid dreams I had that night.
...my lucid dreams were preceded by a very detailed, thoughtful, philisophical, or emotional or waking journal entry written just before bed.
...if I forgot to write in my waking journal, I couldn't remember any dreams to write in my DJ.

Just thought I'd share that discovery - maybe some of you already figured this out but I was excited when I noticed it.

I'm definitely going to be journaling every night before bed; hope I have some good dreams!!!

For doing the waking journal do you write it at the end of the day, or as the day goes?

I want to give this a try but not sure how to.

I have pretty bad memory and was thinking of doing a waking journal as I go in the day instead of trying to remember it at night.

Will start my waking journal on monday, and see if I get these kinds of results.

I usually write it at the end of the day and record everything that went on, sort of as if it was a dream. But it works fine if you write it during the day too.
