Thread: How do/did you summon/find your dream guide?

If you have found your dream guide, how did you? Did you expect them to be on the other side of the door or something similar, or did they turn up unexpectedly? Are they always in your dream, or only sometimes?

I've read accounts of dream guides helping get people lucid by telling them that they're dreaming. I've also read accounts of people forming intimate relations with their dream guides. What is the nature of a dream guide? After all, everything in your dream is a projection of your subconscious, so your dream guide must be part of you in some way or another.

In a crowd, how would you tell who your dream guide is? What other ways are there of getting your dream guide to appear? If you're slightly dubious about the existence of your dream guide, will it ever appear?

I just recognize my dream guides because they tell me they are my guides.... nothing more, so yeah being dubious won't stop them from showing up, and most people say they have a special presence in the dream so it should be easy to identify them.

My first dream guide came to me and tried to tell me to stay away from a fight, so he got ignored. He tried to teach me stuff but all his attempts failed because I already knew, told him that he had to become stronger, he refused, ate him.
Second one tried to stop my fights, so cursed her and she started avoiding me after.
Third one I made him my DG, but completely forgot about him a few weeks after...
