      Dream sign recognition help

I've recently got one of my dream signs down and I RC when I see it (it's Star Trek) but for other (I've made a list) but I can't remember to LD. How do I recognise more of my dream signs?
All help is very much appreciated?

I think the whole "dream sign" thing is probably misunderstood quite alot. I don't believe a dream sign is merely something that has appeared more than once in your dreams, or something that you want to dream more about. I find that a True dream sign is something that triggers lucidity. For example, I dream about work and coworkers all the time, but they never spark a lucid dream. However, I dream about fighting with my mom every so often, and that nearly always makes me lucid. And that's due to the fact that I never fight with her in real life (she's just one of those sweetheart moms, what can I say). So fighting with her is so weird and disorienting, I immediately question my surroundings, which leads to lucidity.

So my advice, look back on your lucid dreams (I see you've counted 19), and see what it was that triggered lucidity in those dreams. Then go from there. Good luck and let me know how it goes!

Ophelia has a good point about dream signs suppose to trigger lucidity.

If you want to work on your 'conventional' dream signs, I think you can find them in your DJ. Look for something, that you see/do in your dreams often. For me, I used to find coins in the ground, collect sea shells, seing bigh waves on the ocean, my cats. Once you determine what your dream signs are, then everytime during day when you see your dream sign, you ask yourself "wow, am I dreaming?" You look around and really consider, that this could be a dream. Do a few RCs. Then you say "Next time I'm dreaming, I realize I'm dreaming". Hopefully, once you see a dream sign in your dream, it will make you ask if you are dreaming and do some RCs and you will get lucid. Happy dreams

One of my typical dream signs is that something goes wrong when I'm wanting to eat food, e.g. last night, the waitress kept taking each item of food away before I'd had a chance to eat it. Although this often occurs in my dreams, and although I know (when I'm awake) that that is a dream sign, it still never occurs to me when I have a problem with not being able to eat food in a dream that I'm in a dream, so I'm still not having any LDs. (I've had a few in the past but none recently). Is there any advice on how I can realise that I'm in a dream when a dream sign occurs? Would asking myself whether I'm in a dream whenever food is put in front of me when I'm awake help?
