I was playing around on my camera and found a "close-up" setting. It doesn't always work, but in this case it did. It's just a simple 6 megapixel Cannon camera.

I haave a Canon too, A 300D with a 70-300mm lens, its a biggun! I want to try taking a pic of my eye too, might just give it a go
