You know, as badass as they always were, I've always wondered why the gunblades in FF were "gunblades" when none of them had barrels to actually shoot the bullets out of them, only chambers.
After your question I had the bright idea to google "define: gunblade" and I finally got the answer I've been looking for, for years.

A gunblade, or gunsword, is a sword with a pistol embedded in the blade. The layout of such a weapon differs from a rifle with a bayonet in that the edged component has an integral barrel, rather than being attached to the end of the barrel. The gunblade does not fire projectiles. Triggering the round in the gun chamber sends a shockwave through the blade, increasing the amount of damage to whatever the blade strikes at that moment. ...

But to answer your question, no, it doesn't fire anything. It is just a replica. The chamber doesn't actually spin or open to load rounds into it.

Wow I miss getting to visit Nuremburg. I have such wonderful memories of getting to tour the town at least twice a year, for 4 years. I have to admit most memories are of Kaiserburg. Don't they have like a medieval dungeon with a torture chamber in the rathaus there? I think that was the place I saw one. I may be wrong. But pretty sure that was the place.

Almost sure there is a torture chamber in nurnberg too. You may be right. I'll have to look it up for you, for your next trip

I think it's genetic or something. My Dad is constantly shirtless, as are my sons.

And those are my favorite shades. And yes I wear them in the shower if I'm too

Hey, InTheMoment, with those orange sideburns and beard, you so look like this person I saw on COPS a while back.

In case anyone is wondering which person I'm thinking of, this guy just got out of work release, and his buddy Tony, from work release, screwed him over by lending him a stolen jeep/SUV to go to the beach to party.

I mean I'm sure that's not you, but with the facial hair, you look like a criminal, especially if you have short spiked hair under the hat. I don't know, some girls go for the criminal look, while others would call the cops *cough* nesgirl *cough* but I think that may be unrelated.
