Thread: Do you need a hug?

I could use a hug....I just got crucified on this thread for defending religion for even a little bit.....these people are hard-headed, rude, and just lack respect in their debates.

I took out my middle post that provoked these relentless people, so more people wouldn't add to the flaming. (you'll see bits and pieces of it in their posts when they quote me)

I tried my best to calm down the situation with my last post, I knew if I said anymore relating to the topic at hand, it'd be like throwing wood onto a fire.

I hope you're up to date on your Tetanus shots. Having nails driven through your hands and feet (wrists and ankles, whatever) can lead to some serious infection.

What Ame said! Even when I was a Dream Guide Team Leader I avoided R/S.. being a Christian, it just wasn't worth the aggravation to me.

I agree with you, AirRick... Especially in the R/S... People shouldn't be so negative and close-minded, they shouldn't mock anyone for faith, or belief... And this is coming from someone who isn't very spiritual...

Guh... Today was made of fail... Got up early for a cold shower with very little water pressure, and then went to help with stage set up for a Christmas concert we're putting on tomorrow. (I'm usually in the concert, but not this year, and I still wanted to help out.) It was basically 5 hours of being yelled at... The worst was this:

We asked the conductor if it was okay for us to run and get some lunch, he said okay. So we go out, stop at the bank for my friend, and go to a fast food restaurant, between the restaurant and the bank, me and a friend noticed the car making an bad sound, but figured it was because of ice trapped by the wheel or something. We get food, and make our way back to the theater, we had only spent 15 minutes getting food and such, and someone pulls up next to us, and says; "your tire is flat!" We pull into a parking lot, and notice how flat it is... Without a jack or anything to replace the tire, we call everyone we can. I call the conductor, and leave a message, "We got a flat tire, we can't make it there, we'll try to get a ride from someone else." Eventually, someone calls their grandparent, since they live nearby, and have a van. We get back to the theater, greeted with shouting. We get yelled at, since the conductor thought we just went out, and ate somewhere. We try to explain, but ignores us, and starts yelling at us. Eventually I get sick of it, and yell; "CHECK YOUR PHONE!!! IT'S NOT OUR FAULT!" He doesn't... and yells more... I don't think he figured it out yet...

it's nice to know that not everyone on DV is a belligerent asshole with a crass sense of humor hell-bent on verbally crushing their opponent just because they think they're smarter than them!....(which they're not, they just happen to be on the more "powerful" side of the argument, and they let that get to their heads)

nobody's perfect in their proposal, and as a result, they "crucified" me just because I didn't have a few tiny facts straight. it's not that hard to do it with a little diplomacy. I wonder why they're so angry.

It's ok, I'm beginning to realize how silly the whole ordeal is. I'm not even that affected anymore when I look at that particular thread now (but I did go to sleep pretty pissed off last night, lol)

but still, those guys ARE dicks and deserve an ass-beating for disrespecting ME, lol.

That's the internet I've let myself have enough nights laying awake over some stupid web-based argument and just remind myself that it's just not worth it.

I was let in on a secret! The school district is closing at 2pm, two and a half hours before I normally get off! Yeah! *hugs the superintendent* But don't tell anyone. I wouldn't know if my mom hadn't told me. She had to record the "office closed" voicemail messages. Happy.

Haha, maybe. I don't know why younger boys like me all of a sudden. They were always jerks to me before. At a bellydance thing I went to, a 12 year old asked me to dance with him. Then a six year old at the store was whistling at me (like the "hey baby" whistle). And that guy who "loves" me is 14. Weird, but it's kind of cute.
