I meditated before our class last night. My method for meditating is to sit on my meditation cushion cross legged with my back straight, tip of my tongue lightly against my pallet and eyes closed. I breathe through my nose and concentrate on my breath. I observe my breath until my mind is empty and relaxed. As I am fairly experienced at meditating, I tend to become relaxed quite quickly. On this occasion I then concentrated on my flying over a forest visualization and also on seeing my hands in a dream and becomming lucid, as I am experiencing difficulty is seeing my hands in a dream.

Last night in bed, instead of meditating and then visualizing as I usually do, I meditated and visualized the forest at the same time. I fell asleep quickly. Had one dream recall from my first REM period and then a very long dream recall from my last REM period. I know I had one false awakening in the middle of the night but cannot recall the details.

I awakened and got up in the night 4 times, wrote my dreams on 2 occasions, had a small drink of water and did my visualization on returning to bed. My mind wandered and I tried to keep bringing it back to the forest.

I am very happy that our lucid task has been extended as I feel I am very close to completing it.

Meditated in the evening, once again visualizing the forest task. Did my meditation and visualization before sleep. Woke up a number of times in the night and tried to MILD but no luck. No dream recall.

Had my best dream recall ever last night (7 dreams in all) plus the following short lucid.
      FOREST WITH A GATE
I am standing about 6ft. away from a big metal electric gate, the kind that slides. Behind the gate is a huge forest. I realize that I am dreaming and that this is my opportunity to complete the task from class. I try to reality check but my hands are unclear. I try other reality checks but none are definitive. I decide to try to fly over the gate but I cannot move. I feel like I am blocked in some way. I wake up.

Did meditation and incubation before sleep. Repeated incubation after each awakening.

      Darn... you were so close!!!!!!!!!!!

What do you mean with "unclear" even if you see your hands a little blurry, you are dreaming.
My hands morph a lot in dreams, but it does not mean it happens to everybody. If you are unsure about your reality, two possibilities... You are dreaming or You are dreaming. For what we talked your sanity is all right, so you will never confuse reality.

Do not obsess. You subconscious needs to adapt. I gave you the hows, now you need to practice and do not obsess. Our subconscious is very delicate and the first thing that gets screwed up are the dreams... Specially because they are very important to us... I had a stable recall of 4-6 dreams every night from 3-6 lucids per week (usually one lucid each other day) with tops of 3 lucids in a single night (this is somehow easy and I will explain in next class)
With my new business staff I went down from 1-4 dreams recalled with 1-2 lucids per week, I almost woke up one day without even a dream (that would break a streak of over 3 months with recall every and each single night)
Even if you do not believe it, my class made a good impact on all your subconscious. You are very close to be able to almost dream lucidly whatever you want and you are very excited (I told you to be) so it's a big impact in your life and your subconscious needs to digest it.

Focus but do not obsess. Next week class is very interesting, is about DEILD or my persoanlly called LDEILD and it's a lot of fun. That will add some more excitement, but once you can assimilate it all, your subconscious will get use to all your new stuff and your skills with skyrocket!

Thanks Percy - you are so encouraging and it really helps.
Last nights dream recall - not so good. After my massive recall the night before, last night I only recalled one dream. I was really tired and slept very heavy. Meditated before sleep and visualized. I was not sure whether to visualize my original visualization of the forest or the failed lucid of the forest. I tried both. Did WBTB about 3 times to no avail.

In reply to your question regarding what I mean about my hands being unclear. It is exactly what you said, they were blurry. I am close, I will do it and I remain very excited.

I tried to be a little less intense about LD yesterday. Just did RC's and checked new posts to workbooks from our class. Meditated in bed a little and fell asleep visualizing. Recalled a couple of short dreams but nothing on the lucid front. I will complete the task before Wednesday nights class.

      Hi Percy,
I actually was not even going to post today as I have not exactly been making stellar progress. I did go to meditationclass last night and I felt really good as I had some deep meditations and one where it was nothing but forest. Anyway, after that I really expected to complete the task last night but no I recall nothing. I awoke about 45 minutes before my alarm so decided that this is the time to slip back into dream. Did all the visuals and ended up in SP but my mind was definitely not fully asleep. I am going to try and chill a little bit and let my subconscious do it's thing.
I am so excited about Wednesday's class it seems interesting and fun. See everybody then. I'm sad it's the last class

That sucks, Stephie (about the recall)

Mine was going up and down the whole duration of this class. Just this week it evened out abit. I'm a little nervous for school because it starts tomorrow and I'm not sure how that will impact my recall. Plus, I won't have an hourr in the morning to record dreams so it may go down a bit.
      Good luck tonight!

      Thanks Motley,
I really think you won the class task with your lucid, so congratulations on that even though I am a little envious! Anyway, good luck on your tonight and try to relax about school, it will probably improve your recall because of all the extra stimulation.
      See you in class tomorrow

Heh thanks again! I guess the excitement might make recall go up. Good luck on your dreams too! Incubate a lot and prepare yourself for great recall and dreams! I am incubating a lot too today.

Is it normal to get your recall screwed... even mine is a little screwed lately due all the changes on waking. I will post a lucid I had n a while though Very bad recall for me this week, but three lucids.

I am myself very excited about sharing my stuff for tomorrow. It will bring MILD to a whole knew level. You can turn a crappy lucid into a awesome lucid (2nd lucid actually) with that technique. I met my most major personal goals in my lucids thanks to it... There is stuff (more towards deep dreaming) than cannot be incubated but can be done with this technique!
