      MILD-1 (Spectrum)

Right, I might as well get this thing going.

name's Spectrum, I know little about MILD, but I'm looking forward to learning something. I live 8 hours in the future so considering the classes are 6PM GMT-7 I'll be attending during WBTB.

      Cool.

write what you did before going to bed and specially, your focus while trying to fall asleep
Before going to bed, I drank a glass of water and did several reality checks, before I fell asleep I repeated the mantra "I have lucid dreams" over and over, but i was having trouble sleeping and I lost focus before I managed to get to sleep. in the end i only recalled a couple of fragments.

In the first, I was in a dark room, standing in front of a computer screen playing youtube videos. I felt like i couldn't turn my eyes away from the screen, despite wanting to.

The other fragment of a dream I can remember took place in a street somewhere in my town. I'm not sure exactly where it was, since it was pitch black at the time. I felt a tap on my shoulder, and turned around to see a man, probably in his early 30's, wearing a suit and tie. He had black, greasy hair, and there was a large mole on his cheek. I vaguely recognised him as someone I've seen a couple of times in my town in real life, but I can't be sure. Unfortunately, that's all I can recall.

I want you to write down how did you feel during the day
Honestly, when I woke up I felt like crap. I woke up 15 minutes later than I was supposed to and I couldn't remember any dreams at first. It wasn't until I'd been up for about 40 minutes that I was able to write anything in my dream journal.

      Do not feel bad, please!!

Low recall is a fact sometimes, do not worry about it. Try to feel well and focused on Lucidity. Work on your mantra and keep positive!!

Make sure you use a brief but to the point mantra such as, "I lucid dream!" Affirm it and get excited about it!

Actually, me feeling like crap had nothing to do with bad recall, I've just been feeling really tired recently. I actually felt physically unwell.

Couldn't remember any dreams at all, but I could remember that i was dreaming about something, which is better than nothing I guess. I'm slightly annoyed at myself, though, because I forgot to do mantras. Need practice.

One of the most bizarre dreams I've had for a while. I was in a house comprised of a series of small rooms, all of them connected by tunnels at about knee height. There was a large wolf-like creature chasing me, so I sprinted forwards and ducked underneath a low desk (think coffee table height). I kept running from table to table, hiding under each one before I was caught by whatever was chasing me, until i reached one of the tunnels and was safe.

Ok, time to get back into properly updating this thing.

      07-10-10

As early as I can recall in this dream, I was walking into a shop just down the road from my house. As soon as i walked through the door, I noticed that the shop was deserted, but soon enough, the shopkeeper emerged from the back door and walked up to the till. I approached the counter and asked her if they had any canned soup, and i saw a whole row of tins behind the till, although I couldn't decide what kind of soup to buy. Eventually, the shopkeeper left and went back out the door, so I just left the money on the counter. When I left the shop, I found myself in a town a few miles from where I live. I realised I needed to get the bus back home, and I ended up frantically running to catch it. For a while after that, everything in my memory is blurry, until when I got home. I went upstairs, and for whatever reason my friend Sam (who lives on the other side of the country and who I only usually see every few months) was there too. Unfortunately I can't recall anything happening after that...

This one is really hard to put into words because it only really makes sense in my head.

I was on the top floor of a large, 3 storey house, and I could see on a computer monitor that an intruder was trying to sneak inside. There was a PA system set up throughout the building, and I told him that he'd "already broken into every room of the house", and that there was nowhere else for him to go. My bluff failed - I knew he didn't believe me. I tried to hold the door in place as he entered, but he overpowered me and managed to gain entry to the room I was in. Now that he was in front of me, i could make out his facial features. He had a very round head, his hair was black, and i think he was wearing glasses. I told him to leave in a loud voice, and he left immediately. Everything after that is too hazy for me to remember.

I also had another dream last night, but I don't think I can put it into words since it makes no sense whatsoever.

Couldn't recall anything this time, although I put that down to staying up really, really late the night before. No more of that

Grr, nothing again last night, although when I woke up I could actually remember 2 or 3. As soon as I reached for my DJ I forgot them

I was in a large hall somewhere at my school, with some friends. The room had a row of windows covering one wall, and was filled with large tables (they were more like dining tables than desks, really). Some of the people I was with were getting ready to take an exam there, and I was considering taking the exam myself. When the test was due to begin, I decided not to do it (along with most of the other people I was there with), and when it began, I saw that the questions were ridiculously difficult. One of the questions was about Biology, and involved describing the function of several labelled organs on a cutaway view of a human skeleton. At this point, me, and the others who weren't taking the test, left the room. We waited until the test was over, and I spoke to someone who had been there, who told me it was "the most horrible test I've ever done".

In another dream I recalled, I was in a big shop selling DVDs and other electronics, as well as DVD rentals. My friend, who I'd gone into the shop with, was arguing with the man behind the counter, but i can't remember what it was about. I can't recall anything that happened after that point.

There was also a third dream which I could just about remember when I woke up, but by the time I'd got to my DJ to record it, I couldn't remember anything about it.

      Those were some nice dreams!!

I need you to keep some track on the exercises over incubation, meditation, etc

Hmm, well since about a week ago I've been meditating for 10 minutes before i go to sleep each night, although I'm still getting into it so I'm not particularly confident with it right now, but I think that will change with time. Incubation - I'm still trying to induce a dream where I'm flying over a desert, so that's what I've been visualising, and I've been doing it most nights as once or twice in the day. I've also been saying the mantras, however sometimes I end up falling asleep before I get to that step. Last night I used the chest technique for the first time, which really helped me to relax and focus, so I'll be doing that from now on.

Sorry I missed the class; as I said in my message my internet connection was down so I couldn't get on IRC when I did a WBTB for the class.

Edit: Awesome, the class was postponed. See you there

I remember recalling several things, but I think I fell asleep before I could update my DJ, so I forgot. Dohh.

      13-10-10

The most vivid dream I've had for a while, but not the longest. I was on my way to a meeting somewhere (I was going on a series of trains), and although I started off travelling with some other people (I can't remember who exactly they were) I got seperated after a short while. I went past a few stations, and i got off the train at a station on top of a hill. I saw my friend Tom there (who I guess was going the same way as me) walking out of a ticket office , and after talking for a while we got on the next train, which went underground like a subway. At the next station after that, I got off, and wandered around, waiting for the next train. The subway came up to the surface here, in a large square courtyard, with shops on 2 sides. I went up to the side of the tracks, where there was a drop of about 2 metres down to where the underground tunnel came up. I got so close to the edge then that I fell down onto the tracks, but I wasn't injured and there were no trains coming, so I just climbed up a ladder back to the side of the tracks. I think afterwards, I got on the next train to the final station, which was just next to my destination. After another short train journey, I got off there, and saw that this station had basically the same design as the last one, and yet again I tripped over the edge and fell down into the train tunnel. The drop was longer this time, and i stumbled around for a while, before running and climbing back up the side moments before a train came past. I then left the station, indo a pedestrian tunnel which led to wherever it was that I was going. I met another friend by the tunnel, and we both walked through to the exit. I'm pretty sure that's where the dream ended.

Again I didn't recall anything (my recall's been getting worse and worse recently) since I actually fell asleep halfway through doing the chest technique. I really need to stop this happening.

I was in a hallway in a tower of a large stone building (maybe a castle) and there was a large crowd of people around me. There was a pain in my right arm. Outside, I could see that the land and the sky were dark blue, so the time must have been somewhere late in the evening. As well as the loud crowd of people, my brother was there too, as well as our dog, who was sitting by the wall. All of a sudden another dog jumped out and attacked him, scratching and biting at his neck. It was fairly small, but muscular and vicious looking, and its fur was grey and black. Before I or my brother could do anything, it bit our dog in the neck, causing it to fall to the ground. My brother swore and said it was dead. I stood there for a second, unsure of what to do, until I glanced down and saw that the dog hadn't been killed after all (although it was pretty messed up by this point.) At that point, the dream ended.

      16-10-10

Can't remember much for this night, except seeing a fly-by aerial view of a large city. The sky was grey and so were the buildings and tower blocks. That's all I can remember from that one.

      Recalled nothing at all

      18-10-10

I was walking through a modern-looking building some time in the mid afternoon. There was a strange force that was physically holding me back.

      19-10-10

      Couldn't recall anything again.

Despite having really bad recall recently, I've really been getting into meditation and dream incubation, both of which I'm looking forward to developing more. Watch this space

Sorry for missing updates; I was a bit busy.

      20-10-10

While I was in bed, I caught myself just before falling asleep and saw some of the most vivid HI (swirling lights materialising into a small sheet of paper) that I've ever had. Sadly I lost focus after that, and fell asleep, continuing my trend of low recall. I remembered in the morning that I'd been dreaming about something, but couldn't recall any details.

      21-10-10

Similar to the night before. I knew that I'd had some dreams, but I couldn't remember anything about them.

      22-10-10

Small fragments. I was standing outside the door to the Science block at my school, and I was fighting a small Goblin that was piloting a round flying machine (wtf??).

      23-10-10

I was in a large facility with dark grey walls, and I think the ground was covered in snow. There were computer banks beside every wall, and I was standing in a small outdoor area by some garages. I picked up a guitar from the ground and started playing it.

      24-10-10

I remembered at least 3 dreams upon waking, but forgot all of them before writing them down.
