Yeah, and it was pretty awesome. I love anything Valve does. Portal 2 looks 10 times better than the first; the awesome gels and bouncing platforms and all that shiz, and a full-length co-op game, and Stephen fucking Merchant, wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Looks more like a Pixar movie to me.
Doesn't seem to have the same beauty of the first one.
Regardless, I'm sure gameplay will more than make up for it!

By the way, a massive ARG started on 1 April. It seems to be related to Portal 2, potatoes, and possibly Episode Three.

I believe it was already stated that the release date was the 18th. You do know you can pre-load the game now right?

Official release on Steam is the 19th, but in the ARG there was a hidden message saying something like "19/04/2011 = 15/04/2011". Could be for a demo, an early release; nobody really knows.

I can't preload yet because I need to build my computer first.

Need a new hard drive and processor.

You have to be playing one game at a time, and actually playing it. So don't just load up a game and idle.

I believe as I write this, everyone is playing 1..2..3..KICK IT! to get it raised to the top. The Wonderful End of the World is already 100% complete.

I don't think you need to play, idling is fine. You just need to restart the game every now and then, to add hours played to the counter thingy. That's at least how most people believe it works. Also, potatoes work as a multiplier. If you have extra potatoes, you help more.
