Thread: 2012 Man of Steel First Picture

Was just about to post that.

Movie is looking great, so far.

Hm, doesn't look too bad. I'm beginning to like Warner Bros new take on the DC universe.

Very excited for this. Looks like they're going to go all out.

Well just when I thought Warner Bros put out the final trailer, apparently another one has surfaced which is the best of them all imo. This movie is going to rock on so many level's. I'm getting more and more stoked for it by the day.

Yeah, man. That last trailer was the shit.

Yeah, I saw it while watching the playoffs. I'm sure Zach Snyder will more than make up for Nolan's limited fighting vision. I think it's probably going to be the best super hero movie this year. (This is coming from someone who hates DC and Superman)

Looks great. Definitely pumped for the upcoming movies this year. Star Trek and Superman, so much scifi and superhero action.

I always liked DC's universe more than Marvel's. With Marvel all the powers are because of mutated DNA, whether through natural evolution (X-Men) or lab accidents (Spiderman, the Hulk). With DC, it's more about aliens and the stage spans the galaxy rather than just the planet. DC also likes to make up fictional cities while Marvel uses real ones. DC is just more fantastical about things, the most fantastical Marvel gets is Thor.

That being said, Marvel usually has cooler characters. Iron Man, Deadpool, and Spiderman alone have more personality than the entire DC cast

Yup, this is surely going to be the summer blockbuster. Pacific Rim is looking quite promising as well. Lot's of great summer flicks coming out this year, thats for sure.

You know about the Skrull and Kree right? How about the Silver Surfer? You know that guy who used to be a Herald for a guy who consumed planets? Marvel does get out there, (guardians of the galaxy too) but I'd have to agree, most of the stuff is based on urf....or a variation of urf.

LMAO.I like how marvel took Deathstroke and made him cooler. You know what I really thing is their problems? It's their villains. Batman has some cool villians, and Darkseid is pretty bad ass, but that's all who stands out to me. I hate the Fantastic Four, but I'd read a few issues just to see how Doctor Doom is doing. Then Obviously, there's Mag-freaking-neto. Is he truly evil, or does he just see things from another perspective?
