The books were fine... for childrens books...

The movies just plain commerically sucked.

Here are the first movie still photos from the 5th installment (Order of the Phoenix) of the Harry Potter series.

First off, I like Harry&#39;s hair better in this film already - it was WAY too long in Goblet of Fire.

Professor Umbridge looks different than I pictured her, but she still looks evil so she serves her purpose.

This movie is going to kick ass&#33; I hope David Yates - this movie&#39;s director - tries to stay as true as possible to the book. I wonder how much of the storyline will be left out of this movie, considering OOTP is a lot longer than GOF, and they had to cut a lot out of the last movie.

I really hope Daniel, Emma, and Rupert stay on as Harry, Hermione, and Ron all the way through the movie series. There would be no way casting directors could come up with anyone to fill any of those positions satisfactorily.

I agree about the hair, it was getting a bit wild at some points. I&#39;m quite looking forward to this though, since this is the first Harry Potter that I haven&#39;t read all the way through yet :3

Isn&#39;t there only one more book to come out?

Yep, the 7th and final book is yet to be released - actually J.K. Rowling is still writing it&#33;

Don&#39;t you just hate it when authors find it more important to have kids then writing books, I mean how selfish is that?

No joke - I mean, there are millions of children around the world waiting on bated breath for the 7th book&#39;s release, and she&#39;s concentrating on only 3 (or 4, or how ever many kids she has now)&#33;

I would say the opposite. If she were divorced and single, like all rich writers/actors, she would probably manage to get custody, and end up with even less time to write because she&#39;s more too busy taking care of her kids.

Harry potter 1 and 4 where the best. 2 was ok and 3 was really gay

hopefully this one will be good.

I wouldn&#39;t want to get in your way in line for the movie or the book... Really though, I can&#39;t wait for the movie and the new book to come out. It&#39;s been way to long since the last releases.

WTF?? They changed the release date from 7/13/07 to 7/11/07?? A Wednesday night release? What kinda crap is that???

I never liked the book version of Harry Potter V. I think it's the weakest so far. The film looks like it may show some promise though.
