Thread: Should I buy an Xbox 360?

Why don't you look at the "PS3 worth the buy" topic?! It's just 360 versus PS3. This is an unnecessary topic.

Xbox 360 is doing a lot better than the PS3 right now I'm quite upset.. However I still have some hope for the PS3 in the long run me being a Sony Fanboy.

Or if you can't my xbox gets abused so much! So if I were you, get the 360! And as for accessories a 42" plasma HDTV and surround sound is imperative!!!

Oh yeah, defentely get the 360... Don't get the core tho, get the Pro... Xbox live of course, at least 2 controllers... All of this though will set you back quite a bit of money.

1) YES YOU SHOULD BUY AN XBOX 360. Trace down the "pro" console. (the middle range one). The "core" has no hard drive and the "Elite"...well if you need the extra features go for it.

2) YOU MUST BUY - HALO 3. However; the story may be confusing...but multiplayer is still a thing of incredible fun. Infinite replayability. Good for beginners because of a good ranking system!!! (however; I STRONGLY SUGGEST FINDING old copies of Halo and Halo 2. They are backwards compatabible (im 99% sure) that way you can understand the epic greatness of the best videogame trilogy EVER. The story is so great)

if you are a racing fan; I suggest Forza 2 too

3) the console comes with an ethernet cable; but if you grab yourself an xbox live starter kit you get a years subscription and a headset bundled together.

If I were you, then yes, I would buy an Xbox 360, especially if you like shooters. There's a lot of great games on it like Bioshock (averaging a 9.6 review score), Halo 3, Forza Motorsport 2, Gears of War, Mass Effect, and more. If those kinds of games sound like games you'd want to have (look 'em up if you don't know what they are), then you should get a 360.

I personally like my PS3 but I don't think you should get it just yet. Wait a few months, see what price-drops there are and what new games have been released and then go for it.

Games-wise I'd recommend Motorstorm, Uncharted, CoD 4, The Orange Box, Assassin's Creed, Heavenly Sword, Unreal Tournament III, Haze, Sega Rally... Of course not all of them, but those are good ones, in my opinion.

Er... This is a thread about him wanting a 360, he hasn't one mentioned wanting a PS3 once...

Anyways he could get Orange Box, Assasin's Creed and CoD4 for the 360...

Well I've bought one a week or so ago, forgot I posted this thread. I'll be getting Live sometime after Christmas, and a PS3 is out of the question! Costs too much, and in my opinion, Sony have really fucked up this time

I got Halo 3, Dead rising, The Orange box and Assassins creed. Now all I need to do is run over to Adam's place and steal his TV

I've played Halo 3 on my friends Rear projection Tv. I don't have that good of a TV upstairs (Really small) and the downstairs one isn't HD either. It would be awesome on a HDTV.

yes it would hyper... which is why I'm getting a 26" inch HDTV for Christmas for my room! WOOO!

Only problem is there isn't room for it to be wall mounted and so if it doesn't fit where my 22" tv does now( its kinda a tight squeeze already..) then im going to have to give it back and go for a 22"...D

I hope you know how lucky you are, the TV in my room is tiny. It's fine for my PS2, I'm not so sure about the next-gen consoles though...

How's this for showing off? I play my 360 on an 80 inch projector screen! Although it's not in HD. 800x600, but it still looks great.

I would go for the 360. I have no doubt that the Playstation 3 is a better console, but when you look at the price tag and the features, the 360 is much more bang for your buck. The PS3 has slightly better graphics and a lot of other features that I could personally live without.

Right now I'm a owner of the 360. The 360 can play all the games I want to play (so far), not to mention Halo 3 is only available for the 360.

I don't buy games unless they are games I know I'm going to be playing for a long time. 60$ is fucking pricey for a video game. As of yet I haven't purchased any games. I have a game pass at Blockbuster, and that meets all of my needs. I get a game, keep it for a month and beat it, and then return it for another game.

I am going to buy Unreal Tournament 3 and Grand Theft Auto 4 when they come out for the 360. Those games are going to be worth the money in my opinion.

PS3 all the way here.

Can't wait for MGS4.
