Perfume: The Story of a Murderer

Has anyone else seen this film? I took some mushrooms the other day and went to a friends house and watched this but I never heard of it before and didn't know what to expect. I didn't know what I had gotten myself into.

What do you guys think about the film?

Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.

I saw it in German, but I sort of got what was going on and it was pretty fucked up.

Enjoyable though, but it was too weird to watch it again.

Maybe its the hallucinogens talking, but I thought the film did a very good job at protraying the motivations of a serial killer. I watched that last video by Jeffry Dahmer before he got killed in prison where he talked about his Dad's book and he explained that his motivation was control. He wanted to have a secret world where he had total control over people, where he could possess them.

Why are we driven so hard to possess something we can't have? IMO the character tries to and succeed in possessing love, but love can only be given, and when he learned he'd never feel what he possessed himself, he committed suicide in an axe comercial gone wrong sort of style.

Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.
