Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

It's been a while, so I figured I'd read it.

The Glass Bead Game by Herman Hesse. It's a little slow, but interesting so far.

I can't remember ever being in a position where I could say "I'm not reading anything".

I put aside time to read every day, and have always one or two books on the go at any one time.

      I've read the whole internet.

"The Silver Chair" by C.S. Lewis. Haven't read it for for 5 years!

Also, "How To Cure A Fanatic" by Amos Oz.

      Mort - Terry Pratchett

In very many cases, the visionary quality, the quality of the vision so to say, spills over, into the external world, so that the experiencer, when he opens his eyes, sees the outer world transfigured...

Dark Tower, Wolves of the Calla by Stephen King, North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell and The Fall of the House of Usher and Other Writings by Edgar Allan Poe.

Three is more than I'd like to be reading at one time. Also an imbalance of Victoriana. And of Americana. Depends which way you look at it.

Knight Out. It's a really cruddy late-80s book about King Arthuir beign brought back from Avalon by an adolescent Merlin, and then running for Mayor, with Morgan Le Fay and the reincarnations of Lancelot (now a slob) and Guinevere (now a secretary) thrown into the mix. It's stupid, but I can;t stop reading.

Morrigan's Cross by Nora Roberts- The first one in a trilogy. Damn, I hate starting series. >.<!

Nightmares and Dreamscapes by Stephen King. It's a whole bunch of little stories, so it's easy to read with another book.

And Singer to the Sea God by Vivien Alcock. I've read it a couple times before and right now I'm reading it to my mother. I'm pretty fond of that one for some reason or another!

Oh! Has anyone heard of the Myth books by Robert Aspirin? What's your opinion of it (I haven't read it)?

1984 by George Orwell, I highly recommend it to all who haven't read it.

Very good book about totalitarianism and the "future".
When I was in high school I was very ambitious, I wanted to be the Class President but I missed out by only about 3 votes.

So they made me the Class Secretary of Defence.

      I'm currently juggling

Marx in Soho - Howard Zinn

Their Eyes Were Watching God - Zora Neale Hurston (Summer Reading, bleh. Good book so far though.)

And I'm working my way through the mental labyrinth of Lovecraft, sort of trying to piece together the Mythos.
