He makes sense. I've seen so much suffering in my young life. It has matured me prematurely. I've been victimized by people's addictions, I've been nearly killed and bled all over the ground, I've seen my best friends turn into monsters, I've seen so much despite having a privileged life that I wish I was blind. It's desensitizing and it's only getting worse. Everyone around me is in pain and I wish I could help them all, but I can't, I just simply can't.

Needless to say, I am compelled to join this movement to at least TRY something to change all of this human suffering.

This was a very good movie. The Fractional Reserve System was explained perfectly and the Economic Hitmen part was very interesting.

I think the best part was the Resource-Based economy. I'd love to see that sometime in my life, but it's unlikely.

I would so love to see that type of society, sadly I think I won't, and we will probably live through the worst times of the monetary system, the collapse of it is NOW.

Maybe after world economies collapse, we will move on and accept a resource economy?

You know you draw that reality to yourself with all your negativity.

The greatest trick the powers that be have at their disposal is the lie they got us all to believe in, that we're powerless.

Listen to me, and listen carefully. I believe adamantly with my entire heart that people will come together to solve this crisis, not with steady calculations and a table of engineers, but with pure, unregulated rage.

And the multinationals don't know what they're getting themselves into. It wont be aliens saving us from this shit, it will be us, unified in our hatred against the system and our love for each other.

Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.

He needs to use facts. Also it has nothing to do with Zeitgeist addendum. Yeah, and he in no way refutes any information from the movie nor discredits it. His argument is that conspiracy theories are a lucrative business.

Uses the term "pseudoscholar" to discredit his sources on Jesus without evidence. He should read The Sun: A Universal Deity. Also, nobody as of yet has refuted his third part on economics without any argument what so ever, just stupid things like "This one is hardest to buy, that's why it's at the end." Really? Why is it hardest to buy? It makes sense to me.

That one only talks about Jesus, too. It's Bullshit.

Come back when you can refute his points about the federal reserve and the monetary system. None of these websites even touched that issue, and that's what this entire movie is about. This is the sequel dude. I knew the original zeitgeist was shit because 1. He over simplified his argument on Jesus making it inaccurate and 2. His 9/11 theory had a lot of holes.

But again, this is about the monetary system, how come none of these zetigeist debunkers ever talk about how he's wrong about the monetary system? No, they're all just retarded christians, offended that he said Jesus never existed. I want to see an economist discredit him.

I didn't say I buy into any of it, for or against. Just thought I'd throw out a few links from the other side of the coin to keep it interesting.

I've read a great deal into the mythology of Jesus so I agree with the overall message of part 1 of Zeitgeist. As for the 9/11 truther bullshit of part 2, that's harder to swallow. The Bush Administration is definitely incompetent, but I think that's as deep as it goes. Extraordinary claims (government-wide traitorous plots ahoy!) require extraordinary evidence, of which they have grainy footage and missing security tapes.

Part 3 of Zeitgeist and Part 1 of Addendum on the fractional reserve system are basically spot on, since that IS how the system works. Whether you can go further and tie a broken banking system to a New World Order ala 1984 is a bit more of a stretch that I'm not prepared to make at this time.

However it's no secret that the fractional reserve system is an abysmal failure and its catching up with us fast. In less than 20 years the Baby Boomers will retire and the entire system will flow down the drain.

      www.zeitgeistmovieisfake.com ?!
Alright why is this douchebag trying to tarnish Zeitgeist's reputation? What's his point?
First off, both Zeitgeist movies are offered completely free for all to watch.
And how much does it cost to make and ship a DVD? Somewhere around $5? Hey! That's how much it costs to BUY it!!! I don't think the biblical Peter Joseph is making much money off it at all.
I'd be an "ignorant conspiracy nut" to say this is being done only to distort the message but what else could he possibly be trying to do?! Surely he doesen't actually mean what he shat onto that page, right?

The page doesn't actually say anything. If you click on any of the links, it leads to a page that says,

"WE ARE WORKING HARD TO DELIVER YOU

INFORMATION ON HOW ZEITGEIST THE MOVIE WAS MANUFACTURED

      TO CASH IN ON YOU.

THIS SECTION OF OUR WEBSITE WILL BE COMPLETED SOON

      PLEASE STAY TUNED."

I read the truth section that was linked separately and there is nothing damning in there. All he says is that it is possible for 'peter joseph' to exploit people and sell his dvd for 19.99 but its actually 5 bucks for the dvd so that doesn't mean anything. Any of the actual debunking of content is opinion based and has nothing to do with factual evidence.

Zeitgeist itself isn't always factual but from what I've seen, it is at least genuine.

Although upon watching it a second time I'll say that maglev trains that travel at 4,000km/hr are total fantasy for the 'immediate' future. Even with superconductors and a frictionless environment (vacuum sealed tunnel network), you're really pushing it.

That is not to say that it won't be possible ever. Tell someone in 1908 that in 61 years men would walk on the moon and they'd have told you to get your head out of Jules Verne and get back to work.

There is no need for that at the moment anyway. Hydrogen/hibrid cars are something to look start with in the near future (if we want to go all star treky as the video suggests.).

Thie thing I felt that was REALLY REALLY left out was the issue of overpopulation. No matter how communal and hippy the venus project followers might be, if we keep growing at this rate then there is simply no way to sustain it. Period.

Then they say "there will be no laws". Well, see above.... how are you gonna curb that issue without legislation? I agree money forces most laws to be used but seriously, theres big issues that need them seriously.

We have the basic technology for magnet trains already, they built one in japan, but goig 4,000 miles an hour is a stretch. Still, with the air tight tunnel system it's not THAT much of a stretch. I mean right now they can go a maximum of 300-400 mps, if you think about the computer, now being 1/30th of its original size or more, technology can make pretty giant leaps in a relatively short time.

Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.

Are you kidding? In terms of processor power per volume, computers have gotten at least a million times smaller.

I'd say this one pulls it all together a little more nicely in terms of criticism.

Admittedly, Zeitgeist doesn't present a strong enough argument not to be naturally attacked and refuted. Really, I don't know who to believe anymore. The guy who wrote the stuff on that website seems knowledgeable, but there's also holes in his argument.

There's still the Venus project though.

Alex, did you make that site? I ask because a direct quote from this thread appears there, in the 'cost of the film'.

I'll make a list of the problems I have with the claims made on the site.

      1. Many of the references used are not credible.
      A) An HTML programmer is referenced as a source about Horus
      B) A student article that references geocities, aol personal pages as its sources is also used as a source on Egyptology
      C) A lot of is source links simply lead to wikipedia which is useful, but then makes us check to see if the person who wrote the wikipedia article used valid sources. The author (sneakily?) hides this fact by making all his wikipedia sources into tinyurls, even though he didn't do it for any of the other sources. edit: I see now that their is a blurb about his wikipedia sources at the top, but I can't say for sure if it wasn't added after I posted this, since I made it obvious in my next post that the author has read this exact thread

      2. As proof that Attis is not like Jesus, the page claims that since Attis is reborn in the spring and not December, they are not alike. Unfortunately, Jesus did not die in December, he died (and was reborn) in late march or early april at the beginning of spring. It also makes reference to the 'december discrepency' later when talking about Dionysus. Apparently the author is mixing up Christmas (birth) and Easter (ressurection) in his mind.

      3. The date of Christmas most likely does come from 'Natalis Invicti' which was the solar feast, birth of the sun, on december 25th. Mithra has been related to "Sol Invictus" the sun god, and therefore this is where that connection does actually come from. Before this relationship was made, the birth of Jesus was usually said to be on January 6th.

ugh, theirs more but I'm going to be late for work.

Edit: Okay, now that I'm at work I don't really feel like writing much more, but I will say that the 'cost of the movie' section is horribly over simplified. It covers how much it would cost to buy and ship blank dvd's but doesn't factor in the cost of actually printing the dvd's (he is probably using an outside company to do this, as it would be extremely time consuming to write dvd's one at a time on a personal computer) or any of the production cost of the actual films, time it took to produce, etc. etc.. I would be willing to bet that once all of these factors are taken in to account, the actual overhead cost per dvd sold comes a lot closer to 5 dollars, and may even be more.

I didn't create the site, I found it a few days ago. And literally finished reading it all about 10 minutes ago.

I find it incredibly odd that this person registered to make this post, and then the post is quoted word for word, but unsourced on a website refuting the movie, which is then linked in this same thread. There's some funny business goin' on I tell ya.

I liked this second movie more than the first, though it still was far too exagerated. The guy who makes these has good ideas, he just gets carried away.
157 is a prime number. The next prime is 163 and the previous prime is 151, which with 157 form a sexy prime triplet. Taking the arithmetic mean of those primes yields 157, thus it is a balanced prime.

What bothers me is that on that website Alextanium posted, the author stated that it was clearly a plane in the security video from the pentagon. There are two videos and in neither of them can you tell exactly what the object is. The only thing you can see is a fin which confirms that it was a flying object (duh).

I actually thought the second one was pretty spot on. Obviously we can't really know the motives of the hand full of people behind our economic system but we can see the effects of their actions; especially now that they are operating almost openly through this 'crisis'. Everything he said about how our banking system works is true.
