The TV show Red Dwarf is back on the air!

What's interesting is that it's a continuation of the old series, continuing where the previous series left off. What's more, the new ones have all the same cast. That's not something you usually see on television, bringing back the old cast, or continuing an old series after so many years off the air.

Haven't watched it yet, just waiting for it to finish downloading.

I saw the first episode... it was absolute shit compared to the original.

Part 1 was shit. Very, very shit.

Part 2 was much better.

Part 3 continued to be much better.

Hmm. Possibly better than the second. Certainly better than the first.

Breakage of the Fourth Wall was nice. And mild tackling of pop-philosophical concepts was more like Red Dwarf when it was good.

Convinced me to reread Last Human, regardless.

Jesus talk about mindfuck. I'm 7 minutes into the 2nd episode. This is amazing.

Edit: Haha I love how the Chinese nose dude is a blatant reference to Blade Runner.

Edit 2: Holy shit there's a lot of Blade Runner up in this piece.
