Need PS2 game recommendations

I'm off to the store in a bit cuz I have this random urge to get a DDR game.. and they have a buy 1 get 1 free or whatever deal, so I'm wondering what else I should get. Generally I prefer games like Zelda or maybe the FF series. So far I'm considering:

ICO
God of War 2
Shadow of the Colossus
FFXII / FFVII-Crisis Core
Prince of Persia
Dragon Quest VIII

Now mind you I don't know much about any of these games, but I've heard a lot about a couple of the titles, and they also all appear on lists of top PS2 games.

So yeah. What should I get??

Hey i love games, i can tell you.
God of War is a great action adventure game, you learn a lot about Greek gods and goddesses. Its bloodyfun!

I recommend Kingdom Hearts its a game about dreaming, and most people enjoy it. Bye mes, tell me what u get L8r k?

Ah yeah I have Kingdom Hearts!

I guess I'm def leaning towards one of the 3 at the top. I've heard so many good things about SOTC... but fighting bosses one right after the other doesn't appeal that much to me I guess.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love Metal Gear Solid! Its so good! I think mes likes rpg like games via Zelda.

Give it a try. Part of the game's appeal is just traveling to where the colossi are. The scenery in the game is probably some of the best you'll see on the PS2.

I'd definitely go for Zone of the Enders.

The Jak and Daxter series is also pretty decent.

Shadow of the Colossus
Zone of the Enders
Metal Gear Solid series
Ico (Haven't played it, heard it was good. Made by the guys that made Shadow of the Colossus)
Final Fantasy Tactics (If you have a GBA you might want to look at FFT Advanced which is also a great game!)
Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2
Guitar Hero II (personally my favorite, but you might want to look up the song lists for each game before deciding)

Trust me mes, the best picks for you are absolutely ZoE or SoC... Both are great, artistic, and brilliant.

Honestely, I'd go with SoC, cause you are apparently wanting to play ddr... and it much easier to play SoC in small segments, it divides itself for you. When you pick up ZoE you won't put it down til your finished. You really do need to play both eventually though.

Also, beware that SoC has long horse riding parts, and you may get lost at times, but stick with it and it's a great game!

I would Reccommend Red Faction, I believe you can get it for a cheap price and its really fun. Fps. THe armored core series was also good. Killzone if noone has said that yet. 007 Nightfire.

ZoE is Zone of the Enders - it is the third trailer I posted. That trailer is actually of Part 2 of the series, though. I never played ZoE1, but part 2 is amazing, and the story is not necessarily one to where you have to know everything about part 1...but I'm sure it helps.

Yeah. Here's a pretty badass video, showing some of the gameplay and anime (not a big 30 Seconds to Mars fan, but it fits). Even for a game so old, it still looks good. I'll definitely have to get my hands on it...I actually think I might go play ZoE2 a little more, now it's been brought up...
