I've got starcraft on my thumb drive with a patch or some such so it doesn't need a CD. (lost CD) I'd love to play but it has been funky and multiplayer doesn't even show Battlenet as an option. Even if I had the CD key I couldn't use it.

Makes me wish i had SC and played Protoss/Zerg.

Technically one needs an original cd key to enter battle.net, but there used to be a special type of no-cd crack (a "battle.net loader") that allowed to somehow bypass that protection and play online.

Also, you could just use a Keygen and a CD-KEY changer until you find one that works.

OR-- You could go buy the game with a legitimate CD-Key...

ive got a no cd patch and a key changer which i used to put in a serial code which i found online. because the serial i had didnt work

and i get online just fine (except because i now have windows 7, it doesnt work properly so i need to right click on starcraft then run as administrator)

I haven't played StarCraft in years, although my disks are sitting around somewhere. If I cannot locate them, I'll go buy a new set. A specific time would be nice, so I know when to poke around.

slayer, did you pick scatterbrain's one by letting starcraft pick a random one, or did you pick one yourself?

and is the tournement going to be like a process of elimination type thing, then the losers play each other or what? i dont understand the "losers bracket" thing.

and i was thinking maybe the first matches should be determined by the player's ability. like everyone say their win:loss ratio and two people with close together ratios play each other. thats just to make the first round fair.

I'll sign up zerg, though I'm rather rusty and was never that great.

I really love the list I got. This is going to be great!

I picked Scatterbrain's race myself based on what we already had. Protoss and Zerg were even so I just wrote him down as Protoss since we had a lot of Terrans.

I was thinking about picking random people's names and pairing them up (there are a couple I know from experience that should be paired together). Then the losers bracket is just the losers fighting each other.

We currently have 4 Terran, 4 Zerg, and 5 Protoss. I think this is a good number to end with. I'll pick random names and sort people out. I'll make the bracket soon.

And could we not put a definite date on when we conduct the matches? The reason I ask is because I'm visiting my father and I don't have Starcraft installed and might not be able to play until I return next Monday.

The match dates will be based on when both players are available to fight each other.

What is your race metcal? I would suggest either Terran or Zerg, but the choice is yours.
