Stargate Universe
Any stargate fans here? who watched this?
I liked it, although some of the characters/actors aren't that great. I'm glad that guy died I hate that actor whoever he is.

I was a big fan of SG-1. Even with some of its inconsistencies, it always seemed to draw me in. This one's more serious, but I hope it doesn't lose that brilliant writing.

There was no humor, which was always a big part of Stargate formula. Also, it's trying way too hard to be like BSG. On top of that, there is only one character I even somewhat like.
I'll watch the next few episodes, but I'm not holding out much hope.

It was the first episode, so I don't really think humor was on their list of things to include (although it did have a little). Right now, they had to introduce the situation and characters, which I think they did quite well.
I'd wait a few more episodes before deciding how its going to play out though. I just hope they don't fall back to that same formula of having just 1 lead team of 4 people we see in each episode. I'd like to see all the characters form "teams" and each one go on missions, and each one be a "Main" team.

Just got done with the first episod. While it was fairly interesting, it wasnt the stargate I know and love. The only part with any sort of humor was when good old jack shows up, other than that it was trying wwwwaaaayyyyyy too hard to be the next battlestar. I mean the whole thing just strikes me as a bastard child of voyager and battlestar. It might have potential, but they need to bring in some of the old elements if they want to keep my attention.
