Will no one stand against government privacy invasion? Wait... twitter? rly?

Twitter chief: We will protect our users from Government - Telegraph

Yes that's right, after Google caved and Facebook straight up brown-nosed to law enforcement, it seems there's a light at the end of the tunnel. Twitter.

LET US TWEET OUR WAY TO FREEDOM

Finally, a not-entirely evil company. Also, Twitter uses Bittorrent technology in their system. Double win!

But srsly, Twitter seems to currently be the most forward-thinking big social media company.
I don't usually think, therefore I mostly am not.

Everybody to know what you're saying, but not necessarily know who you are...

juroara, it works off followers, people don't have "pages"

if you want to send a message to someone, you type @"their name" message. They can see it when they look up @mentions

Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.

Well I guess it depends on what you call criminal behavior. I personally don't think wikileaks was criminal in the least.

lol funny If I recall right twitter gave up the account and ISP information on Jacob Appelbaum and other Wikileaks volunteers. Nevertheless it doesn't really hold much weight considering the NSA has been hot-wired into twitter for quite some time now. Wasn't twitter also deliberately preventing hashtags that were accompanying OWS from trending in the US? Anywho, here's a little tweet from the twitter team...lol

Yeah ne-yo, you're right. They did warn the people that they were being investigated though, but yeah if twitter was really in favor of free speech then the top hashtag list would show what was really on people's minds.
