All so wrapped up in their little problems, that they don't give a shit about anyone else.
We used to have a TAX where if a person had glass windows, they would have to pay the government more money.
Fuel is now $ 10.14c per gallon ( Yes that is over ten dollars )
£ 65 billion paid in road duty per year, but only 7 billion spent on roads.
Politicians walk 50 yards through a hallway to dinner. The hallway looked a little boring, so they lined it with potted trees. It cost the same as a house to rent the plants.
      Lovely place England.
      Sounds like Toronto lol

      These things seem arbitrary.

In the US a budget committee spent close to a million tax dollars on a conference in Las Vegas, financial institutions have been caught laundering drug money but aren't being prosecuted because they're "too important to the economy," whistle-blower Bradley Manning has spent over 1000 days incarcerated without trial, our healthcare industry sucks 20% of our collective income and rakes in a 75% profit margin, we have more incarcerated citizens than any other country in the planet and most of them are there because of a plant, we spend more money on the military than the rest of the planet combined despite the fact that we're in massive debt, we bailed out banks and financial institutions for bribing politicians to deregulate the economy so they could purposely tip it over, and generally people are more interested in Justin Bieber's love life than any of that.

You can't compare, because UK has a different currency than the rest of the world.

Guess which group of people these facts are about

29 of them have been accused of partner abuse
7 have been arrested for fraud
9 of them written bad cheques
17 have been involved in at least 2 business bankrupcies
3 have been in prison for assault
71 have such poor credit, they can not get a credit card
14 arrested for drug related crimes
      8 arrested for shoplifting
21 are currently in lawsuits against them
84 arrested for drink driving ( In the last year )
One is receiving a jail sentance today ( and his wife ) for perverting the course of justice.

To top it off they all have the best 'corporate' pension schemes possible for when they retire.

      Did you guess ?????

Well, if you said the British government, you would be right.

Looks like the world is in this mess, and the general public just go along with it like the sheep they are.

I have an idea, rather than complain about which banking district is further along, we acknowledge they're all fucked up. Now what do we DO about it?

First of all, we need to agree on what the actual problem is.

This sort of reasoning should get you to your goals.
You come over as in intelligent person ( I am new here, so I could be wrong )
To get answers you have to ask, not just one question, but ask if the question you have is the correct question to ask.
Hope that came over as a sane statement.

Well there's multiple trains of thought to deal with. Some people think we should get rid of government altogether, others believe that the government should exist but be afraid of the people. I'm of the latter position in that I believe what is necessary is not violent revolution but a social movement capable of influencing government more than the bribes can. Bribes help win elections, but the people actually win them and contrary to popular belief you can get your representatives to back issues if you harass them enough.

So there's essentially two requirements to create a social movement adequate of improving government, the first is that you need a cause which will actually improve government, and the second is you need to get a lot of people behind it. That's why I say we stand a chance at changing things if we can all agree on what our first priority is. Then we can focus on that first priority, terrify the living shit out of our representatives so they enact it, and move on from there.

So what do you think the very first thing we need to change is?

There is nothing that should be changed suddenly.
There are many truths coming out, and a lot of changes are already happening.
Look to the source of war, and violence. You will find power. Not powerful people, but power to fuel the world.
Oil is at the very top of the list, with many governments getting together to invade small insignificant areas.
Both our countries are guilty of this.
But even higher is greed. Mans need to have "MORE" We are a very selfish race of people.
Get rid of every greedy corrupt politician, and others will just step up, and take their place.
Sort this problem out, and every other problem on the planet will fall away very easily.

      Just an opinion.

Have I ever advocated the removal of government officials? I say this, and only this, we have the power and we have forgotten this. We'd rather complain and fear the coming authoritarian apocalypse because it's easier than taking responsibility and making the necessary sacrifices to remind the people in power that they answer to us.
