      Saving the Planet

So, rather than debate about whether or not we are burning the planet to the ground, I came up with an idea of how to save it, tell me what you guys think.

So, if we can all agree that a manifestation of our rampant abuse and rape of this planet's resources has led to higher CO2 emissions, what does that say about the problem at hand? That we don't have enough plant life, that we are deforesting faster than we can replant trees. Not only that, but with how we live in concrete jungles with all our artificial things, we are making a statement that we are committed to never letting the earth regain enough plant life to restore itself. Either the earth is going to take care of this itself and make us go extinct, or we get smart. Here's where the idea comes in.

Since as bull-headed humans we seem so gung-ho on fighting nature, why not work with it instead? Why not get with the program? What we are doing clearly isn't working, the natural way is what is sustainable, right? It's beating us at surviving, and it's going to unless we make a change of plans. Why do we not learn to manipulate nature to our advantage, like nature has done to us? Nature forms symbiotic bonds with its inhabitants, we have made no attempt to bond back with nature ourselves. Flowers have adapted by becoming pleasing to us, and so they exist longer. Why not form bonds with the rest of the earth? I have seen pictures of chairs formed out of growing trees, why is it we cannot learn to make shelter out of trees and plants that we grow and manipulate? Plants have chosen animals, animals have chosen plants. We are still animals, right? Why not use them to our advantage? We have formed medicines out of herbs and blends of plants for centuries, we have made huts out of mud and clay before. We have used what is naturally around us and that we can help reproduce before, why not now?

This doesn't mean we have to give up technology, not by a long shot. We are intelligent enough to find a way to make it work, but I've never really seen anybody propose the idea that we try and blend technology and nature together, rather than try and beat it in some sort of arms race to doomsday. What do you guys think? I do not have a specific plan in mind, but my foot's in the door. Now that I am open to the idea, I can start to brainstorm, and maybe I can get enough others to brainstorm as well that we can actually not die off.

Let's face it, if we destroy this planet and turn it into a husk of its former self, what's the point of anything? If we can travel into space and find other planets, we will just do the same to them, and as a destructive force, somehow the universe will find a way to wipe us out. Unless we can coexist, we have to be deleted, for the greater good. Otherwise we're just a cancer.

Failure to adapt is what is known as natural selection, let's fucking adapt please. Nature favors change.

What you're saying is very logical to me, but as you probably already know, the vast majority of people could not care less. The sad truth is that, as long as there is food in the fridge and the TV is working, most people would not lift a finger to help improve the overall situation of humankind and its future.
I don't like saying it, because I don't hate people, but I think that humans, in our current level of physical, mental and spiritual evolution, are quite parasitic. Or even like Agent Smith said in The Matrix:
I'd like to share a revelation that I've had during my time here. It came to me when I tried to classify your species and I realized that you're not actually mammals. Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment but you humans do not. You move to an area and you multiply and multiply until every natural resource is consumed and the only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus.
There is a lot of truth in that. It seems that humankind is indeed engaged in this war against nature. We try to take over it and subdue it to our will. If we keep doing that, it's not gonna work out well for us in the end.

Lets ask what exactly we havn't adapt too. When it comes to nature, we have already proven that we have adapt so well, that it have become kind of anti-adapt since we have become less and less dependent of nature in a twisted way. What we really havn't adapt to, is to seek deeper understanding of ourselfs. Nature might favors change, but that part of nature got to be the human mind, and nothing else. Everything else works just fine when it comes to plants and animals, but the human mind is stil struggling to seek as much pleasure as possible to maintain temporary happiness. And that implies alot of material stuff at the moment! Not many ask them selfs why one needs more of this and that. Or why one needs to do this and that. And the whole system is just keep learning and strengthening the global mind to BE something more, to get things like this and that. And when someone asks why. Everyone answear, that's just the way it is.

That's true as well, in order for change to happen, people must change themselves first.

Lmao wtf^^^. Somebodies feelings got hurt.
Anyways, I hate to be a negative nancy on this subject, but odds are in favor of the worst eventually happening. People are too selfish these days and all kinds of corruption have grown tremendously. Random Inflation that has no reason to have showed up, monopoly of all major businesses, and the poisoning of the mass majority of our food is the signal that pretty soon we are going to run into some major problems. The thing is, greed and hate has taken over America, at least in what we call "leaders". The leaders that the people elect into office always abuse their power and really the only reason that they wanted to be in the leadership position in the first place was for the money.
“You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is like an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty.”
Now, don't get me wrong, I completely agree with Gandhi in the quote above from him, but the reality here is, is that a big portion of humanity has begun to live only for themselves. Its our human nature to be selfish, but people have seen that and not wanted to make a change. If we want to change humanity and save ourselves before we completely destroy ourselves and the planet along with us, there needs to be a huge change in the mind. I'm not talking about a simple acknowledgement that we are indeed selfish, we already now that. I'm talking about an entire change of mind and the perspective of life in all.

Hence the word if. If you don't agree, say so, and I will try and see things from your point of view. However, do you disagree that we are not burning through all our resources for energy and for the materials we use to build things for ourselves, will we not run out eventually? Sorry I didn't come off as more neutral, but that's pretty close minded of you to leave the discussion and not even read further simply because of that. Usually I respect your opinion, but I think not even hearing out what I had to say and simply pointing out that I was being manipulative in my wording and I was becoming less credible to you as the reader afterward is pretty stupid. What do you have to say about this, do you disagree? Why? I'd legitimately like to know, because I share a lot of opinions with you and am genuinely interested in what you have to say despite how offensive your post can be interpreted as.

In case you didn't notice, I pretty much just showed you by example how you should behave if you expect others to take you seriously. I apologize for coming off the way I did to you, but at least I tried to understand why you posted the way you did, which is more than I can say for you. You're coming off as pretty immature.
