Interesting food for thought, kind of reminds me of something I learned from a first semester comp sci class regarding arraylists in java. Every node has a pointer to a next node and a previous node, to make the whole thing work there is a starter node and an end node (something to this effect, very far removed from compsci I didn't like it as much as I thought I would, but a very layman definition similar to this description of time). In this analogy, where are our starter and ender nodes? Birth and death?
