North Korea, STOP IT, its really annoying

At first, it was funny, "aww look at widdle north korea trying to launch missles"

and now its like "okay, north korea, enough, its not funny anymore, you killed it already."

They are probably going to keep launching them untill one works then they will post it all over the place "Look at us we have missles that can shoot around the world".

The war-mongerer in me says that we oughta drop a cruise missile on their nuclear reactors and say, "Hey, guess what! We've got those too!".

Then the pacifist in me says, "Nah, there's a peaceable solution". Then the war-mongerer punches the pacifist in the gut.

The peaceful way is to just ignore them. They can't do anything to us. What a joke, I don't why there is a single person in this country who fears them.

They've been able to strike at both South Korea and Japan for quite a while now. Most of the reason we're worried is because the advent of No. Korean missles with extended range, such as the ones they're testing now, have the capability of reaching all the way across the Pacific, to hit Hawaii, Alaska, or maybe the western coast of the continental US.
Though I'd say that Alric's right. Capable or no, North Korea won't want to start a nuclear war. Let them arm all they want--they've got a distinct disadvantage if it comes down to shots being fired. Mostly they want the nukes as an international bartering chip. It shouldn't work, really, since if North Korea actually tried to use a nuke on anybody, China, the US, Russia and probably a few European nations would ALL have nukes sent inbound at North Korea. Korea isn't all that large a country--with that much firepower bearing down on it, there'd be nothing more than a crater left. Korea knows that. The rest of the world seems to be forgetting, though. The North Korea situation really oughta be considered a "Hey, so what?" type of deal. Same with Iran, honestly. Though I'd worry about Iran more, they might just have the juevo's to launch a nuke at Israel if they got the chance, even if it would be a sort of suicidal act.

Only England and France have nukes in Europe, just to let you know.

Oh, I suppose America has some in European countries too.

This should have been addressed the minute they kicked our inspectors out of their so called nuclear power plants last year. What do you think they are trying to obtain?
I understand their animosity toward us. Also they are very isolated. They are a dirt poor country that puts everything into their military. They have no infrastructure.
Take a look at Google earth at night....amazing. It is dead. The entire world is lit up and there is N. Korea with a few small cities up North.
Like Tsen said, Normally In most cases and hopefully in theirs, they want bargaining chips. But I am afraid this guy is a little of his rocker.

Yeah true, I don't think most Europeans do. The countries to the west of Russia are called Eastern Europe so they're the boundary really, at least to me anyway.

my older brother is going to n korea for a few months in august to teach english. can't wait to hear his accounts of the vibes there. it will be his second trip.

last time he was greeted into the country with a billboard of an american soldier impaled on a bayonet...he was escorted everywhere, and is certain there were a couple spies in his classes making sure he didn't step out of line.

kim jong is a fuckin nutcase..perhaps crazy enough to actually fire a nuke at another country. now that's a penis extension.

i find it enormously humourous how georgie isn't clamouring for unilateral action...

and completely absurd that the childish psychological deficiences of a small group of men influence so much of the world's affairs.

i've known many males of diminuitive stature who would pick a fight with their own mother to feel like a "man".

i guess it's not a stretch for jong to threaten to nuke thousands of innocents.

less expensive? hell, we could probably make money selling tickets to the death match! and we could take bets on the biggest member.

Possibly the only reason I like to live in Alabama. I highly doubt anyone wants to bomb the cotton to bits... unless they just want to kill farmers for fun.
"Ooh, we bombed Alabama! What now, America? Wait... why are you celebrating?"

Ah, I jest. Nuclear war is no jesting matter. They better keeps their nukes to themselves... because even if they did bomb anywhere in America, the resulting EMP blast would cripple a chunk of the country, thus resulting in our retalliation and blowing half the world to kingdom come. However, the countries who are pleading for/already have nukes to fire them at people are crazy enough to do it.
Why don't we get Japan to give them tomagotchies (whatever) to occupy them instead of them target practicing around the Pacific?

Ah, they probably won't target Oregon. It's just a state of green-loving, protesting liberals.... oh, wait, that's just in western Oregon But knowing my luck, they'd aim for California or something like that and end up hitting us.

"Oops. We were aiming for Canada."

As for Russia (which is often referred to as part of the "Eurasian" continent....), well, I'm going into the right business. This'll be interesting.

No one will nuke the US. Everyone knows people in the US are nuts, they nuke us and we are going to nuke them back. I don't know the exact number but we probably have over a 1000 nuclear missiles.

[size=24]This be my 666th post muyhahhahaha

Yeah I live on the west coast of the US too

if they ever DID nuke the US it would probably be the west coast because:

      1. The west coast would be the best target, however
      2. the US would think that they're aiming for the east coast for a surprise attack but then
      3. North Korea would then aim for the West Coast, because nobody expected it

Actually I think it's because "Type o' Dong" only has a range long enough to hit the West Coast.

Why... Why are there so many crazy people in office in this era?

Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.

Well over 1,000, Alric. Curren Nuke Count

Nearly 10,000, but only ~5,800 considered comabat-prepared. The others are fully operational, though, they'd just need a bit more preparation.

Oh, and I guess America's refusal to deal doesn't have anything to do with anything, or am I the only person in the World that finds it confusing when America consistently says to any Nation it has a problem with "We will refuse to even begin Negotiations with you until you have already completely surrendered to every single one of our demands, past present and future". America has decided it will live or die by Unconditional Surrender.

You know, that would be a new Phase in History. Nations, even Superpowers, used to negotiate with each other.

      Ever heard of "Peace Talks?"

One does not have Peace Talks with one's Friends. But America will not talk to anybody else but.

Why is it that nobody ever blames America for these conflicts that America provokes by its intransigence.

Look at recent History. Palestine wanted to deal. Belgrade wanted to deal. Iraq wanted to deal. North Korea wanted to deal. But America says "We will only Deal after you give us everything we want so that there is no reason for us to really have to Deal. In other words, America will not deal.

So how is all of this NOT America's fault?
