lololol. You don't ACTUALLY believe in auras, do you know? Besides the fact that it probably is 'pagan':

If you stare at something long enough, your nerve receptors for the color(s) you see most get 'used' to the color. If you chance your vision the smallest bit, you will see the negative of the color the person is wearing.

Look at some one in a black dress: White aura. Green dress, red or whatever aura.

TOTAL. BULLCRAP. Thank you.

Nice ancient way of looking at philosophy. They used to think that by introsection you could 'find the higher truth'. As far as I know everyone accepted that sources from the outside are needed to phisophise. Even if you conclue a certain chair appears red to you, that is science in way.

Science > faith. Philosophy > not thinking. They are 2 different subjects, one isn't better then another.

Albert Einstein didn't need anything further then elementary school, and he discovered Quantum Physics...

Sorry, I just hate today's age with their bulloney education. (It REALLY sucks)
[/b]
Yeah, education does suck today. I'm going to be a teacher and it's amazing how stupid some people are, I feel embarassed at times saying "I'm gonna be an educator" because some studnets are by far smarter than their educators and don't even know it. I have more good days than bad though and am very happy about being a teacher but I do take the work seriously. Education is good nonetheless though because it helps with that paycheck.

I'm gonna be a teacher, my paycheck will still suck. I'll teach little kids, second grade preferably, then go back to school a few years later. I want to teach Ancient History in a college ^^

On another note, I got a C in Physical Science. I do much, much better in biology sciences, lol. Thank God I don't have to go past Physical Science too much.

It doesn't matter what you do and don't believe in. We're all a little Pagan. If you don't like it and you celebrate Christmas, don't decorate your Christmas Tree. That's a Pagan Ritual from Yule (basically winter). They decorate those kind of trees with ornaments resembling life to remind the trees about life so they come back to life after winter. We now know, of course, this is a natural occurence in nature that can be obtained without little decorative reminders ^^

Don't use medicine, especially those with herbs just to calm a stressed person down and such. That comes from Pagan days too.

Everything comes from a Pagan society somehow it seems. Yeah, you have different religions: Christianity, Baptism, Catholocism, a lot of different religions that seem the same, then you have Buddhism, Hinduism, etc. You'd still be surprised by how far our whole society is based off of old principles without us knowing.

In America, (I don't know who's from where on this forum) we have a 180 day school year. Why? Agricultural purposes from the past. It was more convenient for children to go to school but have the summer off to help the family harvest. We still have this typical school year.

Why do we have school? Well, everyone needed to know how to read at least a LITTLE bit so they could read the Bible. America would have never had schools (at least when it did) if it wasn';t for the religious influences of the days of old. Now we mostly seperate religion and education (or attempt to in some cases) but we wouldn't have what we do have now if it wasn't for the fact that it ocne wasn't seperated.

Why does American currency still say, "In God We Trust"? Well, whether you bbelieve in God or not, isn't really important. It's a historical fact that the forefathers were creating, what they called, a nation under God. Can you blame them though? I mean, they were in BIG trouble when it came time to seperate from Britain. They were taking HUGE risks in becoming their own country so they had to look somewhere for hope. It may have been successful but it was a very scary situation.

We have to make a lot of assumptions really.
I think that any possible time travel in a universe would obtain much higher intelligence than we currently have. So you could say they are superior in that regard.
But let's say that a parallel universe exists and including the talk of quantum physics, there could be an entirely new set of standards that are being used. Physics as we know it may be obsolete. There is no way for us to see this, looking from inside our universe.

We have seen in our own race. Humans have evolved to rely on a more mental status than that of instinct. Larger brain cavities and all that comes with our sentience.
I think in large, that is why most aliens are depicted as large headed bug eyed creatures. Not relying on brute or brawn, but rather intellect.

Scientific is the ONLY way we can attain knowledge! PAH! A pox on pure science! We'll move beyond the day of science one day, and look back saying "Why the hell did we care about all those details again? ..."

Philosophy > science[/b]
That's a strange idea you have - that science and philosophy are somehow opposites or even incompatible. Even stranger when you realise that the philosophy of knowledge (entemology) shows that the only way we can obtain knowledge is through scientific method. We can only obtain knowledge by achieving an objective view of the world, and the only way this can be done is through pursuing scientific discipline - ie. not just proposing wild fantasies and using them to support wilder conclusions, but examining credible evidence.

I don't know what kind of philosophy you're thinking of, but I think you've got it mixed up with fantasy.

yeah theology

a good talk about higher dimensions and the nature of life on other planet end up as a religious debate.

Why did you say that to me? I don't think aura's are silly because they are pagan, I think they are silly because there is no scientific evidence for them, yet I am sure research has been done.

But yes, christianity is filled with paganism. Even the 'die on the cross, then ressusect' is stolen from other 'pagan' religions that lived around 0 b.c.

I'm still waiting for evidence as to these after-image cameras...

You could at least provide me with a link stating that they were on Noah's ark.
