Oh come on. I *will* watch the video and comment, but it's an hour and a half, and I have a life. So I'll wait until someone else watches it, and confirms that it isn't like every other video, where the main contributor is strategically-placed scary music. But if you want immediate contribution: As far as UFO's are concerned, I see three sides of the debate: 1) "They exist!" versus "No they don't! Earth/Jerusalem is the center of the universe, blah blah blah" My answer to that is, you'd have to be completely self-centered in every sense of the word to actually think we're "alone" 2) Government conspiracy to hide the crash-landed alien spacecraft... Well, this might be a fun one. But I think most of the recorded UFO sightings near Area51 are basically military tests. 3) "I was abducted and anally probed, blah blah blah"- errr... why does it happen only to dumb white losers in Nowhereville, USA? It's always the kind of person you see on Wife Swap.

I think UFOs are real. I just wish I could see one for myself so that I would know 100% for sure that advances extra terrestrial life forms do exist. I like how one of the guys mentioned that we'd have to grow spiritually else we'd become a threat to them. Which I actually find quite true. Maybe those aliens can travel across the universe and blow up entire planets with a single laser beam if they wanted - or maybe they're just out like spiritual humans searching for "the ultimate truth". What are they doing here? Who knows, but if humans could travel the universe we'd sure as hell also be observing other civilizations.

I believe that when you look at the ufo phenomenon from a broad perspective, that the extra-terrestrial hypothesis may not be the answer. Take for instance the Great Airship of 1897. A wave of reports of this flying machine swept across the country, all the newspapers were reporting on this airship. Many thought that Thomas Edison secretly invented an airship as he was a great inventor of the time(much like we sometimes think UFOs are secret government project). Edison had to make a public statement saying he did not invent an airship. Jacques Vallee the great ufologist said that by what we know of the airship from reports of the time that from its description it was not capable of flying. It had propellors but it could accelerate faster than a jet, much like reports of present day ufos. Mysteries like this probobly just shrouds the phenomenon in an even deeper shroud of mystery.

I believe that there could be life out there but I think that UFOs are somehow a product of our global imagination, a modern day fairytale if you will, that somehow manifests physically allowing everyone to see, even non believers. But thats my opinion. Even the sightings of the virgin Mary at Fatima had glowing ufo like orbs and sounds associated with ufo's. Depending upon the times and beliefs , we might see fairies, ufo's, demons or whatever. It just depends.

UFO just means unidentified flying object. If someone throws something across the room and you dont know what it is, thats a UFO. If you mean extraterrestrial beings im not sure. The government FOR SURE has extremely top secret aircrafts. The debate of another civilization that is more advanced in every way, thats toying with us is the tricky part. If you believe in evolution you have to believe in more advanced civilizations, and if you dont your a dip-shit. The earth is a very young planet, compared to others, therefore in the right environment there could be millions of more planets with living conditions comparable to earth. Now lets say there was a planet with humans 10 million light years away, except it was 300 billion years older, acording to evolution they would have advanced in everything, technology, their living habits, etc. Now wouldnt you think in 300 billion years we could create a device to instantly travel to any specific spot in seconds? Think of the technological advancement we've had in 100 years, add 299,999,999,999,900 more years and see what you get... thats what i thought.

already this thread shows the first confusion people have with UFOs. there is no debate as to whether or not UFOs are real. UFOs are real. The US army has seen them, and has reported them. The question has always been WHAT are they. not if they are real. the argument against the alien UFO theory is just becuase you saw something strange in the sky is not enough to denote that it MUST be an intelligent race of aliens from across the galaxy visiting us. UFO sightings vary, telling me that people are witnessing different phenomenons. Some *well not some, sometimes hundreds if not a thousand at a time when its an entire city involved* witness lights moving in a pattern seemingly impossible by our technology, especially for the time *which at this time was the 60s*. Some witness a vessel that is larger than a football field, seemingly metallic. Others witness, or rather catch on their camera, a vessel that appears organic, like a cloud of light, making some believe that the UFO is actually a type of lifeform not easily seen by the human eye. I think its stupid to think that UFOs are fake, when we have the documents that proves even the US government admits to believe in UFOs and tried to silence the UFO hype when it became too popular back when it all started. Without any real answers at the time during the cold war, the US didnt seem to happy to admit there were unidentified flying objects in our skies that were not invited. All this talk about UFOs during the cold war made the government fear that the people would see them as weak and not in control of our own country. One way to silence the genuine natural phenomenon was to make the mention of the UFO a thing of ridicule, something that only drunken farmers see *when some of the first eye witnesses were officers and pilots in our own army*. And if the scientific community wont take the phenomenon seriously, even better - its all a joke. It becomes a myth, and no one made the UFO a greater mythology than hollywood. For now, I think we need to look at the UFO with fresh eyes as if weve never heard of it before, and re-examine what little evidence we have without this alien obsession. Not to say im against the idea of the UFO being connected with aliens - just you cant look at evidence with such a biased view or a mentality that you already know what you are dealing with. Maybe even seperate the UFO phenomenon from alien experiences

I think this video is real http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=e27_1173581537 aaaahhh, brujas and hispanic people go together like tacos and nacho cheese. my own family that lives out in the mountainous jungle boondocks claim to have heard the cackle of witches during the night. really I just thought my mom was crazy, that or she was just scared of grandmas snoring there are all sorts of stories like this, where an entire little city will witness the same thing. all of them strange freakish things that float oddly, make horrific noises, glowing red eyes - the works. a lot of the witnesses normally include officers, entire towns, local officials and the local army. Alien advocates ALWAYS claim its some sort of alien, or alien pet gone wild. The spiritual explanation is its nothing more than a demon out to scare to the shit out of people, and more importantly - waste your time. Its like a prank joke, especially on people who are interested in aliens. Supporting the demonic prank joke explanation is when officers or the local army fire at these monsters terrfying the locals - the bullets seem to go right through them as if they are ghosts.

I didn't get very far through watching this, but it was immediately apparent that this is just nonsense. I've reached the bit where there's some guy who's filmed streaks of light with a camera, which look to me a bit like artefacts on the film or maybe just sped up aeroplanes. The film then asserts that this is proof of the fact of an invisible 'life form' called rods. In the words of Richard Feynman: "From my knowledge of the world that I've been on, I think that it is much more likely that the reports of flying saucers are the results of the known irrational characteristics of terrestrial intelligence, rather than the unknown rational characteristics of extraterrestrial intellegence'. Man that guy was a genius. That just sums it up really. The people who make these claims and make these movies about these claims are just paranoid or maybe have nothing to do. Come on, there's a world population of more than 6 billion, you're bound to get a few crackpots or attention seekers now and again. Occam's Razor completely gets this one in the neck.

Has anyone else come across people like Xei and just think wow what are they smoking how can they think there is no evidence every day. I am continually amazed at how people want to ignore it. It reminds me of this crazy person who doesn't want to believe that trees are in existence. Can't see the forest for the trees totally disconnected from reality. Well, I will say this - I kinda wish they didn't name this piece to resemble so much another 'documentary' called "The Greatest Story Ever Told". Because I'm a big fan of that piece and, like they say in this film, "...you would be subject to ridicule for reporting UFO's", I don't want to see 'Greatest Story Ever Told' be associated with UFO's and things of that nature. Having said that, though, I've never heard the theory presented in this film of UFO's being creatures that we simply can't see (even though I have seen the movie SolSkye mentioned). I like it better than the "little green men with big eyes flying around in spaceships". What I find interesting is that I'm seeing a connection between this explanation and quantum physics that are just too obvious to ignore. In particular the multiple dimensions and paralell universes, etc. These 'creatures' may not be creatures at all. What if they're energy? These rods could possibly be what we interperet as the strings in string theory. And why do these UFO's have to come from another planet? Like they suggest in the film, it's just something we are now capable of seeing because of the technology of equipment. Those rods appear to be coming out of our planet, like something we are emitting. I dunno, just a thought. As far as those photos which show UFO's as round metallic disks - eh, I tend to think those are made up or fake. Why would something from another world look so... familiar or earth-like? The shit in those NASA videos, however, is much more organic looking. Like amebas or something- but on a much spectacular scale. Just think, if they are, in fact, amebas to some other even larger living form, what would that make us in comparison? Supermicroscopic? And what would that make OUR amebas?! Ultrasuperhypomicroscopic??!! This shit is whacked, makes me feel so damn insignificant.

Besides, the 'object' could have simply been skidding sideways (off camera), creating the illusion that it is pulling away (forward) at greater speed. You can tell the mig is banked at an angle. Not saying I'm discrediting the thing, just not a good example for me. Really, the only thing that could completely convnince me (as with anything) is experiencing it myself.
