I think people have an uncanny ability of dismissing anything that doesn't conform to their preconceived world view. Something like Douglas Adam's SEP field.

That may be so, but that doesn't make it real. I love how people use that to justify things that others don't accept. Just because people do have a tendency to close their mind to somethings, doesn't mean the things they're closing their mind too are right or real.

That said, I know very little about this so I don't really have much to say.

You're the one out to prove current science as incorrect, you can't use "You don't have an open mind" as an argument, you have to give adequate proof to convince me.

Now like I said, why don't we all know about this by now? This would surely be the most important human discovery yet.

Listen frenchie, I never said I was out to disprove science. Recent advancements in quantum mechanics opens the door to a lot bizare possibilities.

If something seems unlikely, I'm more apt to think it's my current understanding of science that makes it seem that way. And I'm willing to research the matter to gain a better understanding. Sure there are elements to that story that are outlandish, but I use those to fire up my imagination and gain an interest in the subject matter.

I never said I believed it, but I do consider it an interesting idea.

Sorry, I guess I was just put off by the 20 year old russian ball of duct tape that nobody ever heard of. But I agree, it's importance is located somewhere in between that of a paperweight and a time machine.
