I absolutely despise it. Some people are better at making money than others. That is a fact of nature. Socialism is about trying to change that, and all it does is bring down success and take away people's biggest reason to work hard. It does not strengthen the weak. It weakens the strong. When the stong are weakened, the nation is weakened. Look at what happened to the Soviet Union and their puppet governments. Big, enormous failures.
I have recurring questions on every major topic I get into. With major Western monotheism, my biggest recurring question is of why evil and suffering would have to exist if the creator of existence is infinitely powerful. It almost never gets answered. With psychedelic drug illegality, my recurring question is of why golf should be legal. You might have seen how that goes down. As for socialism, my recurring question is what the driving force of it is supposed to be. What makes people gung-ho about working their asses off and bringing in massive amounts of money for companies? The only times people explain it to me, they admit that it is only the good will of people to support the economic system. Is there anything else? I can assure you that the good will factor is miniscule compared to the greed that exists in human nature. That sucks, but it is how the human race is. Socialism is a weak attempt to hide heads in sand and avoid that fact of life. Nothing makes business roll and economies rise like greedy owners and exectutives. Nothing. So, what do you think would make socialism work effectively? Can you give me an example of where it ever has? If so, please compare that example to the system of the United States, the wealthiest nation in history with the best business and military and technonlogy, where our poor have cars, cable television, computers, DVD players, video game systems, CD players, and cell phones and our homeless people are fat. I have not seen socialism have that level of success yet.
I am not saying that to brag about my country. I want the entire world to adopt our system. I want somebody else to be the most successful nation in the world. I'm tired of the bullshit that comes with having that title. But my country does happen to be the best example of capitalism's success and the reasons socialism is an unfair disaster.
All three of those should be privatized. They are all good examples of how bad the government sucks. The Post Office is much more effective than the other two because it doesn't have as much room to suck, but it would still be more effective if it were all private. I am not saying nothing should be government run. I am not an anarchist. I just believe in the privatization of pretty much everything. Some government schools are better than others, but I went to public schools for most of my school years, and the jaw dropping problems I saw with the administrations at the schools where I went would not have existed if they had been private. Greed makes things happen. Ignoring that fact of life is dangerous.
