I'm not trying to convince the OP, necessarily. Those who post such garbage are usually beyond hope. I'm trying to keep more people from falling under the spell of percieved doom.

Well, just take what I said, and switch it around with "people who would believe it". XD

It's one of my many missions in life to save innocent people from bad science.

I saw a documentary about the "new-born Christians" today... It was horrible to see little kids (6 year olds) getting brain washed by a preacher.
Now THAT is a problem...those kids cannot think for themselves yet and are easy targets...
(It was called "Camp Jesus", or "Jesus Camp")

God dammit is this 1983 (or was it 84?) all over again?

Jb and KG from Tenacious D went to a Jesus Camp by accident after being stranded on a highway. Heck, they wrote a song about it. I suggest hearing it, lol.

When I (a christian) try to tell controversies of the bible to religious folk, about how badly incorrect those christian talkshows are, major mistakes in the bible, what christian soldiers from isreal do to the muslims, and even what the missionaries are doing with drugs to the sick where they stay and work, they argue by stuttering or with the bible. I'm always like, damn religious groups, brainwashing the kids. They always try to make sense with religion. They think anybody who is of strong faith is so holy, they can do no wrong. Which is not right and half the time, they aren't holy.

Ugh. This whole planet thing is very argumentive. If it does happen we will likely die from mugging, fires from crazed civilllians, explosions, car crashes, jealousy, suicide, or idiots with scissors before the planet is affected. That's almost 2/3 of the world right there.
If it doesn't happen and it is still close, I'll be drinking beer and smoking weed in front of cops because of everyone who thinks the world is ending. They'll be like "It's okay to drink at your age and even smoke mary jane kid. The world's ending soon......Alright boys, let's beat up every guy we don't like! Like we do on a daily basis. HUZAH! HUZAH!"

Then if it doesn't happen all together. I'll be here, writing a topic.

That (female) preacher actually said that we should learn from those Islamic fundamentalists (suicide bombers) and follow their example.
She thinks she must teach these 5 year old kids to be prepared to die for God.
