By the way...when the Mayans referred to "the end of the world" they didn't mean for us to take that literally... They meant "end of the age". Besides, this god-man is suggesting that we donate EVERYthing we have, so we can be allowed into his post-2012 kingdom. And then we will be able to enjoy everything the (dead) humans left behind..cars, houses, etc.

The thing most douches have to understand is that...the 2012 prophecies are no sillier than a man being born of a virgin woman and him descending from the clouds one day to take all that believed in him from the earth into a magical land of fluffy bunnies and shit. Well even if you don't believe any of that stuff, there are a ton of other reasons to stock extra food and stuff. Especially here in the US where many people are talking about the crash of the dollar.

Here is a better way to do this. Lets list reasons why you should prepare and be ready for something like that. Probably the best thing you could do is stock extra food, so no matter what happens atleast you wont starve. Now what situation can come up that would make it difficult to get food?

1. Planet X
2. Other 2012 doomsday stuff
3. Nuclear war
4. Terrorist attack
5. Collapse of the dollar
6. Economic depression
7. Natural disaster
8. Martial law
9. Unemployment
10. A Pandemic
11. War
12. A famine
13. Increase in the cost of food

Some of them seem unlikely like the planet x stuff but others are very common, such as unemployment. Yes what a shock, even if your out of a job and have no money you still need to eat. People bring up terrorists attacks all the time, even though I dont think thats likely at all. A pandemic? Bird flu. A depression in the US seems very likely at the moment as well.

Ok now lets look at the reasons, why you shouldn't prepare anything.

1. It costs to much.
2. Its to much work.
3. You don't have the space.

Thats basicly it. The first one is silly because it doesn't cost to much. If anything if you buy bulk stuff, its even cheaper. You can actually save money by stocking food. The third one can be true some times, but you can normally find some space in your home, and it really doesn't take up to much space if your smart about it. Now the second one is probably the reason most people refuse to prepare for anything. They are just so lazy. If any of the 13 above reason happens however, it could save your life, or make it very much easier. Think of it as insurance(which can actually save you money!). It really doesn't take that much effort but it does take some. So you need to decide to do it.
