SCIENTISTS are themselves, believers in intelligent design. all intelligent design means is - the design that we have observed is structured. organized. poetic. 'perfect', 'beautiful' and so on. it is NOT saying that its too difficult to understand. its saying, we understand and we see that this could not logically be created by randomness. And science will always go with the most logical conclusion.
For somebody who starts off by saying, 'OMFG YOU THINK THAT'S WHAT INTELLIGENT DESIGN IS WELL THINK AGAIN!!!!', you sure have one hell of a lack of an understanding when it comes to the term itself.
Intelligent design is the belief that certain features of the universe and of living things are best explained by an intelligent cause, not an undirected process such as natural selection. Look it up if you want.
The clue is in the name; 'intelligent... design...'. It is the belief that there is an intelligent, conscious designer of the universe and everything inside it, for example the Christian God.
Also, congrats on the completely misunderstanding of what science itself is. You can't EVER say 'scientists believe that...'. Scientists are a highly diverse bunch of people. Some of them believe absolute rubbish.
And no, scientists don't believe that there is something more to life than randomness. At least the majority don't, and definitely not in the sense that you're thinking.
Pretty much every biologist you speak to will tell you that life originated from chemical reactions which built up to make very simple biological molecules and then some basic organisms with RNA and so on through evolution to humans.
Like Gnome says; what is the scientific evidence that there is more than matter to the world that you're talking about? You really should specify if you're going to place so much importance in it.
