I tried anti depressants once. all it did was stunt my emotions... like a vulcan. I didn't enjoy it. If you want a permanent anti depressant state it's called a lobotomy.

I used to be suicidally depressed. I never took medication for it. Never had to. if you don't want to be depressed. Cancel your cable T.V. Don't drive for a while. go outside and walk... look around you. Do some physical excercise. Eat health foods before they are outlawed. Get some excercise. Go out and talk to random people. DO ANYTHING to get past the noise in your head. Once you do that, you will realise all your depression is a shizophrenic delusion brought about by society. It deosn't exist.. if you choose so.

I knew of someone that was into all that and they imported these herbs and stuff at the post office to cleanse themself but they were confiscated. These basic ingredients that are just health benefiting plants.

Apparently they want to block all means to achieving a healthy lifestyle.
It's not the post office fault. It's the bureaucratic mess that has made these bizarre laws which then entangle and choke the choices one would make to get healthy.

They sure make certain Macdonald's is in every town though. Funny how fast food is so easy to access. While anything healthy and organic is difficult if not impossible to have reasonable affordable access.

Are you saying it's a government conspiracy to limit healthy food choices? Isn't it more likely that bureaucrats are just covering their legal asses by banning certain foods that pose a risk of class action law suits due to substandard quality control?

I'm just saying it's difficult to be healthy in this society. look at all the soda bottles everywhere in the shop. Talk about candy pushing artificial sugar salty foods that have no meaning. I didn't vote for any of that junk with chemicals in it. Especially box cereal.

If you don't think theres some kind of government conspiracy to limit healthy food choices, then just go to your local grocery store and take a closer look. Look at the kind of things people buy to eat. Prepackaged garbage with a tenth the nutritional value of some natural foods. People actually think that diet and no calorie foods are better for them. This stuff has no nutritional value.

The government are not the elected officials but the people who have power. The people who have the money can legally buy off elected officials. This is called lobbying. The people who have the money have the power.

It's no longer a conspiracy it's reality. just see my bill C-51 thread. Similar laws are also being passed in the US.

I would be the first to jump on the pharm industry, but I won't go so far as to say that anti-depressants have no benefits whatsoever. I think seeker nailed it on the head.

Now, in the US, do I think we're overmedicated? Extremely, and in most cases I don't think they're necessary medications.

The only thing they are good for is selling them to pillheads to pay bills, but that is illegal. Most of the time that is what happens with those pills though.

I do not seek to lead. But i understand the Destiny. When things go really wrong it will be up to people like you and me to lead them. If there is anything that i must say it is that THEY TOO can be leaders All they need to do is seek truth and the truth shall set them free.

Does anyone think that anti-depressents are kind of like soma in Aldous Huxley's Brave New World? They are basically a drug you take when you start to feel bad because you realize how meaningless your life is. They take you back to being satisfied with mediocratiy.

And that's when they do work. As a matter of fact, most times they do nothing, and then people end up killing themselves when they're on the pill. Why? Because they get all hyped up that a little pill is going to save their miserable life, and then they take it, nothing happens, and they kill themselves out of sheer hopelessness.

A pill can't fix a shitty life. Good psychiatrists know the difference between a chemical imbalance and a crappy life, but unfortunately, most psychiatrists these days are young pill pushers that would rather go golfing than spend an hour helping someone.

The more I read about the pharmaceutical industry, the more disgusted I become. I couldn't write a post long enough to satisfactorily address my issues with it, despite its advances.

Billion dollar marketing campaigns, PR departments with bigger budgets than the R&D departments, regulatory capture, the complete undermining of statistics and scientific literature, the creation of conditions and the nocebo effect, and the ethical profile of cannibals overall. As an industry, they have had profit margins that boggle the mind.

My point is to look long and hard at any significant medications you're being put on. What you aren't directly paying, you're paying through taxes and insurance.
