McCain Aides Say Palin Is "Clueless".

Capitol Hill sources are telling me that senior McCain people are more than concerned about Palin. The campaign has held a mock debate and a mock press conference; both are being described as "disastrous." One senior McCain aide was quoted as saying, "What are we going to do?" The McCain people want to move this first debate to some later, undetermined date, possibly never. People on the inside are saying the Alaska Governor is "clueless."

On Friday, conservative columnist Kathleen Parker said that after seeing Palin in interviews, she thinks the vice presidential nominee should drop out.

Now wait a second...the game just did a 360...If McCain's TOP senior aides (who are responsible for CONVINCING us that Palin is ready) thinks she's clueless and a disaster...then you can imagine how much this is costing McCain. CNN has had numerous discussions over this past week about how the polls and stats seem to fully confirm Palin's star has fizzled out and she's actually losing popular opinion. She's no longer become an asset for McCain...she's his fucking liability. Disagree? McCain's OWN personal senior aide's seem to agree with me on this. And personally I find it funny that one of McCain's senior aides is asking questions like "What are we going to do?".

Anyone else hear the fast approaching faint sound of a train derailing? It's a sound that sounds vaguely familiar to a campaign falling apart from the inside out.

It will be interesting to see what stunts McCain's campaign will use to get her out of the debate. But if she goes for it...it'll be epic. Biden will hold no punches.

Lol, I know right. It's amazing how much power SNL has to really "sock it to" celebs. Palin has suffered a minor dent from the jabs SNL has done on her. Mainly enlarging the notion that she's fucking clueless. And I'm loving every minute of it.

That said, Palin is a disaster but I still would not doubt her ability to make a good show on Thursday. Make no mistake, she is going to be shouting slogans and sneering and snickering (again, more standard Republican procedure), but she is going to be making a point of standing up to Joe Biden pretty strongly and will probably be the most aggressive of the two.

If Biden stumbles and she stands strong, she will end up looking good no matter what just because she has set the bar so low up to now.

A record 90 million viewers watched the Obama/McCain debate. That broke all past records for those who viewed the presidential debate. I can only imagine how Thursday's debate will be. Do you all think Palin is prepared or do you think Biden's experience will dwarf Palin's so much and cause her to stumble and just recede altogether?
