Yes, it unfortunately is. But I don't think complaining compels to us. I mean, this is a huge website, and it surely takes some money to host it, and keep it active and sound 24hours a day. LD4all, for examples, relies on donations, but I think it's a quite disorganised way. Donations would work yeah, we have many members who would willfully contribute, but let's not forget Topcola is not a non-profit organisation.
I think it's the price of having a great website. I myself have an adblocker software, which is extremely reliable in my opinion. I mean, I live in Brazil, it's not like 80% of the ads have me as a target.

Newbies, and that's what my main concern. I'd pretty much prefer adverts on the forum itself, really.

Hardly, most people search lucid dreams and find the forum, not the main page. And most click the forum off the bat, anyways.

Make a poll about it and you'll see actually a nice deal of people firstly sought the website and then the forum. I mean ,the website consists of explanations, and the forum cosists of discussions. If you've got no clue of what lucid dreamign is, it's on the main page that you'll find it. Originally Posted by wasup

To the mods, what's with the same big brother eye watching over you avatar? (In case you haven't noticed... it's lame and confusing...)
In any event, the adverts don't bother me at all if it means DV stays up with no worry. Mystic, would you be willing to foot the bill in-lieu of the owner putting up the pretty modest advertisements on the main page? You have to realize everyone is human and everyone wants to AT LEAST break even, not everyone is part of the 'system' as you would label them.
Putting on your skepticals is fine and dandy when you need them. Once it takes you over the edge and you start seeing blurry again that's where I start to disagree. You might want to see your doctor about toning down the prescription of your skepticals. I think they might be a little too strong.Last edited by Cyclic13; 12-21-2007 at 06:16 PM.
