Thread: The War On Drugs VS. The War On Terror

Interesting views expressed, so far. I don't know whether I want to get involved in the discussion, or just let the opinions continue to flow as they already are. I think I'm pretty comfortable with just watching, for now.

Look at all of those. So many that each year after 1969 had to be given a separate article.

I now step off of my soap box and don my flame suit.

When you actually read sites like that you will noticed that there are rarely any attacks ever on US soil. Most of the attacks which are, are by criminals or gangs. I fail to see how anyone reading the lists can see middle eastern terrorist as a threat here in the US.

Maybe if you dig through the 30 page lists of attacks, you can find one or two attacks that killed like 5 people. But seriously, where is the threat?

That have dedicated their lives to wiping out large American populations? I was talking about Islamofascist terrorists, the ones we are currently at war with. Our problem right now is not exactly the Irish Republican Army.

Besides, I agree with you about the poverty. Changing the economic landscape of the heart of the Middle East is a big part of our goal in preserving the new governments. I am all for it.

Did you see his list of attacks that have been prevented? That says it all. Those attacks were not prevented by the ocean or lack of funding for terrorists. They were prevented by our anti-terrorism efforts.
