      Join me in getting fit!

I've been getting really fed up and dissatisfied with my body, so I decided to do something about it. I joined nerdfitness which looks awesome, but I'm lacking accountabilibuddies. So if you'd like to join me, head over there! My username is tsornin.

I can support you here but I doubt I'd join the site after looking at it.

      Would that help?

Too nerdy? Yeah it would. Do you currently have any goals I can harass you about? I think I might need some harassing next week. I'm pretty sore from day one, and I've never stuck to working out for more than two weeks.

Even if you don't join they've got some pretty good articles, not just about workouts but about goals, habit forming, and all that jazz.

As discussed, any combination of "nerdiness" and "fitness" is right in my wheelhouse. Catch you there.

And if you wind up benching more than me, please keep it quiet.

I'm thinking of incorporating some Tai Chi into my daily routine, something to increase flexibility, improve energy, and get the day going right.

So I'm still wishing you well with your efforts. I want to get myself moving more in more ways than one.

Wouldn't mind learning that myself! Are you using a book or website? Best of luck to you too

And thanks to everyone for replying! I look forward to seeing all our progress

I tried tai chi for a while. I believe I tried chen or yang tai chi, it was from a really old book that was translated from chinese. It was cool but I really wasn't getting much out of it, it's really something you need to be taught by another.
If it's for relaxation then it shouldn't matter too much since most relaxation tai chi has fairly little to do with the original martial art, you will often see people who advertise themselves as tai chi masters but actually have no knowledge of sparring using tai chi.

If you truly want to learn it and gain the benefits from it then you should look into a proper teacher.
