Red face Ultra vivid, but not lucid dreams.

Most of my non-lucid dreams are ultra-vivid. They almost feel like real life, where I can make my own choices and every thing looks, "hears", feels ect very realistic! Does any one else have that?

I had one the night before last. Everything felt very real - textures in my hands, sensations on my body... As I tore open a package, I could feel the foil ripping in my hands. Later, I could feel subtle vibrations from an object passing through the surface I was sitting on, then into my knees. It may have been the most "real" a dream has ever felt!

Yeah, I had this a couple of nights ago. I think what it is to me is that I have really cool skills on making my dreams vivid and colorful but I still need to find a technique so that I can lucid dream and have this awesome vividness. It is like a wake up call to hurry up and find a technique that works.

I have had many lucid dreams, but only two of what I called (extended) "ultra vivid" dreams. The usual tests for dreaming did not work. The internet was legit (seemingly), the stars were correct, everything felt like real life. The giveaway was that I could not have possibly got to that place in a day, and I could remember when I feel asleep. I could not do anything to change the scene - it was "locked". One was very hard to wake up from - as if I had to do something in the dream first.

There have also been others that only lasted a few seconds where I felt I was looking through someone else's eye - I knew who - same person both times. But they were *very* vivid too.

It's all very interesting! I am trying to replicate these results...

I love it when my dreams are really vivid like that, They become really realistic, I can feel almost everything, I can most of the time see what I'm doing in the dream with out realizing I'm dreaming. The best part about it is when its at its vivid point, You can actually smell stuff and being felt being touched, etc. It's a really great experience.

Sometimes my dreams seem more real than real life, almost on par with skyrim

Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.

All my dreams are like this. But occasionally on waking I am astounded on how real it felt: once I felt the weave of some fabric, and another time I felt sanded down wood.
