Contradictive sub-conscious statments

I am highly confused on what goes on with my sub-conscious as I sleep because I often become a whole different person when I sleep.

for e.g. there is this woman I'm falling in love with lately but in my dream last night I was in love with someone else then I woke up and knew I only loved the woman I originally loved, why does this happen? as in why do I become a person of different opinions, views & personality as I sleep? what exactly causes this?

I don't think it's anything to be worried about, your dreams play out many scenarios with different elements of your psyche comming into play and you are not self concious in the same way as you are in your waking state.

Our psychologies can be a lot more confusing that we'd like them to be. It's possible to be completely determined about one thing one moment, and then change your mind for some reason. It's possible to love someone and then make someone else up in a dream who you feel you love just as much. I don't like this fact, if it is a fact, but it's been seeming more true lately to me.
