Need some thoughts on my dream from last night, HUGE storm

Hey everyone, this is my first post so bare with me.

So I had an extremely vivid and eerie dream last night. I often have really realistic dreams (obviously) that contain the same people, places and things even if I don't recognize them in real life.

But last night was strange and I just had to join up here to share it and get thoughts. A lot of the people I've been interacting with a lot lately (i.e., my mother, my girlfriend, etc) were at my good friends house. We were all on the porch of his house during an incredibly severe storm. I think it was a tornado, but there wasn't any funnel shaped clouds or anything. But there were definitely things flying around (more on that in a second). I got the feeling that we were all just inside a MASSIVE tornado, one that took up an entire hemisphere or at least a quarter of the planet. Of course, this is just me over thinking it now that I'm awake but it was HUGE.

It was just so realistic and life like, and the storm seemed so gigantic. At one point, I remember being on the porch with my mother and a few friends while rain and debris was falling all around when suddenly from my right an entire decent sized HOUSE was just floating through the air as if it was just pulled up from the ground and flung around. After floating through the air in a pretty straight line (it looked like someone took the gravity away from just that house and moved it around), it exploded into another house right across the street from my friends.

This was where the dream most real. The impact shook EVERYthing like you'd expect it would in real life. I remember vividly seeing my mother tightly grab hold of the railing while a few of my other friends fell and others held for dear life. None of them were hurt, just amazed and surprised and shocked and all trying to collect themselves in the huge earthquake.

Honestly it was a marvelous experience knowing it was all a dream but it was so real and vivid while it was happening it scared the life out of me. I love that effect some dreams have. Now, I have some ideas that may have helped manifest this dream in my head. About 2 weeks ago my home state got hit with tornadoes that did major damage to the western part of the state but once it hit my area it wasn't as bad. Still the worst storm we've had here for a while, with lightning and thunder happening extremely rapidly for a long time. The wind and rain was crazy too, obviously. And of course, the same friends from the dream and I stood on the same porch as the dream and watched the storm. it's pretty obvious this is where the blueprint came from. But as for the house floating, I've been watching a lot of "Doctor Who" lately and it looked like something that might have happened in that show hahah. I've also been reading up on the Apocalypse and the end of the world lately just because I find it to be an interesting topic.

So I guess I'm not trying to find out WHY I'm dreaming this, I'm just seeing if anyone have any input into this? Should I be alarmed at dreaming about such end-of-times style weather? What does it usually signify? Has anyone else ever had dreams of terrible storms before?

      thanks for reading!

You shouldn't worry about anything that is happening in your dream world Just wake up and tell yourself well that was a cool experience. I have some bad dreams sometimes but the moment I wake up that fear is gone and I analyze the dream, I've had a few of the end of the world dreams. Especially with all that stuff about the Rapture on TV.
Also if you have the same kind of dreams with the same people, try to turn that into a lucid dream those are dream signs.

I agree with Reclypso. I don't see any reason to be alarmed about this kind of dream. Like you said, it just seems to be a reflection of real events and topics you've been reading about. Sounds like an awesome dream to me

I've had some apocalyptic dreams and dreams with giant storms, too. They're usually pretty scary in the dream, but when I wake up I'm just like, "THAT WAS AMAZING!"

Hi there - I have been involved with dream research for over 40 years, and I unfortunately have to disagree with some of the answers you received from others. Such dreams should be taken seriously, particularly since you said it was vivid - vivid dreams are an indication that you are required to take them seriously. I offer two interpretations for your consideration: The first is that it could be a Premonition of a real event to come - time will tell with that one. On the other hand, a more valid interpretation would be of the prediction of a situation that will arise concerning your family and friends as well as yourself. The symbols in your dream are clear pointers to this: A house, or part of a house indicates your own psyche is invovled. The house being blown by the wind indicates someone else's mentality - probably a friend or families. The Storm is indicative of a relationship tiff, or straight up conflict. Some people I have interpreted for in the past where these symbols have appeared, have experienced divorce, or some personal relationship conflict. The fact that you were sheltered on the porch is a sign that you will weather this storm, but will not come out of it completely unscathed - perhaps you will become emotionally involved with the situation, or it may distress you. Dreams are paramount to our lives, and in my research I have found that if you follow a certain formula, your dreams can actually predict what's coming. If you want to know more about this, and how to interpret your dreams one hundred percent accurately, you can visit my site Dream Catcher where there is plenty free information and step by step guidance. Hope this helps - please let me know if something comes up that matches what my interpretation was.

My generic dream content tends to be from a week or two in the past. It was consistently (and almost exactly) one week for quite a while. Lately it has been going back to up to 2 weeks. I've always wondered why this happens. You would think we would dream about events from the same day, but that rarely seems to be the case. Maybe I'm just backlogged or something. Maybe I dream about things right as I am going to forget about them. Who knows.

That's often what happens to me. Sometimes I'll want to have a dream about a book I'm reading or a show I'm watching, but I know I'll usually fail at dreaming about it the day that I read/watch it... it usually doesn't happen until sometime in the near future, when I don't care as much anymore.
