      Question galantamine and studying

ive read some conflicting things about galantamine. ive heard it can act as a sleep aid and its a depressent and ive heard it can act as a stimulant and can help keep you focussed and alert. i have a test coming up and was wondering if anyone has used it as a study aid. thoughts opinions experiences? thanks for replys in advanced.

Whoever told you it's a sleep aid lied to your face!!!

Half the time I take it and can't get back to sleep at all. And since it allows you to become conscious in dreams, it should be good for studying. Piracetam too.

Don't take them together. Piracetam is used to cleanse your system of Galantamine after waking up, and it counteracts the effects, at least for lucid dreaming. Not sure how it would work for studying, but I think I'd use them at separate times.

Basically, Galantamine stays in your system for about 30 hours. It isn't at effective dose for that long, only for a few hours, but you can take 300mg of Piracetam to negate it when you wake up, allowing you to use Galantamine again that night (though it's always recommended to wait a few days between attempts, even if you use Piracetam).

oh no im not going to use them together. i found a product called Profiderall and its marketed to improve memory and foccus. it sais it works by inhibiting the breakdown of acytylcholine. the same way galantamine is thought to work. maybe thats why it helps negate the side effects of galantamine it sorta does the same thing so your not just going "cold turkey" in the morning from galantamine. sorta like why having a drink in the morning after a night of drinking can help with a hang over. idk just my theory. even though ive never expeirienced any ill effects after taking galantamine i still wait at least three day before taking it again. im amazed how well it works! my dreams are always more vivid and ive had two lucids on the stuff the first few times i tried it!

Ooh, let us know how it goes. Can you get galantamine (legally) without a prescription?

for lucid dreaming yes it did...it worked very well. i use it with the wake back to bed method with profound results. two hours ago i took the galantamine and drank some coffee. ive been studying for those two hours and have been very focussed. im not sure if its the coffee or the galantamine or the combonation of two. ill try just the galantamine later.

Cool - I wasn't sure if you already knew about G or had used it - good to know you have. I ought to try it when I'm awake sometime. Most times when I take it I do sty awake, but I'm laying in bed trying to sleep
