Special DC

I often have dreams lately of a man, whom I haven't met in real life. He is somehow ordinary, an old hippie, perhaps, 50-55, with long hair. Nothing very special about him. He always seems to be busy with something that makes him feel good- playing the guitar, making a fire, walking... Nothing that could disturb anybody. But this man shows to know much about me and about my future. Whenever I meet him in my dreams, he offers a soluтion to a problem, answers, or just tells something funny or interesting.
The first time I met him, was during a very dramatic stage in my life. I was diagnosed cancer 3 years ago and should be operated immediately. He appeared in my dream the night before the operation, humming a monotonous melody, and the only word in his song was err, err, err...I was operated anyway, and then the results came:

the tumor was proved to be a superfluous structure in my body, but all it could cause was pain (pressing certain nerves). Nothing lethal, nothing too serious. The doctors had diagnosed me in error to be very seriously ill. You can't imagine what relief it was to me.

He started appearing very often in my dreams these days and I wonder what the reason might be. I asked him last night who is he, and the answer was "I keep you whole." No more info about him. He gives ideas, shows me strange and unusual things in the dream, but doesn't speak about himself.
I feel that I owe some respect to him, that's why I'm writing this. And I'm interested to know whether any of you have such characters in their dreams. May be they represent some part of our wiser self, but whatever they are, they deserve our recognition and acceptance.

There is a young woman who comes and goes through my dreams. She is always helpful and encouraging. In nightmares she can turn a bad thing into a good thing and even at time convince me I'm dreaming. She knows more about me than I do. Her actions are always help full to me.
This young woman who I have never given a name to yet, had always been there for me as long ad I can remember. At a young age she was not represented as something I could see at an early age, but after a large amount of stress built in my family life she, showed her self.
We share a bond me and her, if I have a nightmare and she is in danger I always save her and vice versa.
Yet if she is in danger and frozen in fear my "spirit" will shoot out of my body into hers. This happens just long enough for me to get motor control of her body and move her out of dangers way. It as if I jump in her drivers seat and run her to safety since she is frozen in fear. If I fail to save her I often wake up in sp which sucks.
She has done a lot for me, much more than saving me from monsters but she has shown me things and has made me see things I needed to see. She is awesome and I love having her guide me.
I owe her very much.

Thank you for sharing this. Do you meet her in your LDs only, or she is with you in your ordinary dreams as well? I ask this, because I haven't had LDs yet, and they say that such characters can be met in LD mostly. Or I cannot discern a LD from an usual one still...

She appears in non lucid and lucid dreams. She has made me lucid in the past. I want to get lucid and ask her questions but I'm at the akward stage were I get lucid and just wake up.

I'm glad the diagnosis was a mistake. Anyway, one reason the DC knows a lot about you is, well, because he is a manifestation of your mind in DC form.

It would be nice to have a reoccurring DC to talk to in my dreams, sounds like a really interesting experience.

Thanks, guys, for your opinions.

Realy nice experience it is. I'm glad now because this DC frequents my dreams much more after my post here.

Sometimes just to be there with me, sometimes saying quite practical and applicable things in my waking life. Strange, I can be much wiser in my dreams than in reality. This fellow seems to have very deep insights into the future and knows what could make me happy better than me.

He inspired very drastic changes in my life (divorce after the operation, quitting the old job, new interests ) but I really like my life now.
