The annoying part about thinking about recording your dreams....

I could've sworn I logged at least two really awesome dreams last night. When I woke up from my last one which wasn't really too interesting, I went on about my business. When I checked later, there were no recordings. *sigh* It doesn't really help when you record your dreams IN your dreams....

Because of this, I do RCs when I write into my DJ.

Man, that would suck. I find recording my dreams a chore for the most part as it is, unless they were awesome of course.

You are not the only one. The exact same thing happened to me a few nights ago. And my handwriting in the dream was so bad, and it was very difficult to write. I cant believe i didnt' become lucid. I also do RCs now when i write my DJ.

Heh yeah I remember one time I tried recording the most intense, amazing dream ever but all I drew in my DJ was a weird stick figure flash-comic. Then when I woke up for real I realized "duh, of course I didn't turn my journal into a flash comic describing my dream" but it never occurred to me at the time.

This actually happened to me the very first night I began to learn LD. I had a false awakening, and I remember writing something down during my false WBTB. Then I cannot remember what happened, but eventually I remembered there being another dream. When I actually woke up I wrote down both dreams.

Last night I awoke from a dream during the first REM cycle; I quickly grabbed a pen and paper to write it down. However, I was so tired that I couldn't hold more than one sentence in mind at once, so I made sure to draw a long _________________ on the paper whenever my attention lapsed, to tell myself "Here I forgot what I just wrote, so the next sentence might not make sense." (It was too dark to read it.)

The experience was sufficiently surreal that it reminded me of seeing this thread earlier, so I did a reality check to make sure I wasn't dreaming.

The piece of paper appeared in my next dream (I had lost it, and a friend returned it to me), so when I finally woke up this morning I was worried that I had actually dreamed the whole thing. However, sure enough, the paper was still there, covered with lines.

Amusingly, upon inspection I now see that the transcript contains a lot of phrases and sentences that the transcript contains a lot of phrases and sentences that are repeated multiple times.

Haha, that's funny. You got lucky! I like how it appeared in the next dream. Usually I end up recording dreams in my cell phone so when I do it in a dream (which I've done far too many times) it comes out with a bunch of typos because the keys don't work correctly and rather than thinking that something's up I end just get really confused about why my phone's malfunctioning.
