Hey!

I was just on the bus coming home listening to some music on my ipod.

I felt a bit tired so decided to close my eyes, but not actually go to sleep. Next thing I know, I'm in a house talking about crusty boxes or something?!

It was just as random as a dream, but I coulnd't be dreaming because I just closed my eyes for a minute, and I could still hear the music in my ears!

I wasn't consciously thinking about anything.. so any ideas?

Cheers

My MOST lucid dream ever occurred after just blinking. To me, all I did was blink. It happened instantaneously. I made a post about it on here ages ago.

Sounds like you just zoned off. As Keeper said, it was a type of dream, but pretty much like a very vivid and clear Day Dream.

To me it sounds like you were just experiencing HI. Hypnogogic hallucinations that occur before you fall asleep and dream. They're like...short little dream snipits sometimes...or sometimes more like hallucinations...

Perhaps, or perhaps like ExoByte suggested it was just a day-dream, BUT maybe not.

Now, I'm not totally sure of this but sometimes, especially morning or early-afternoon, if you doze off you can go straight into REM without going through long deep-sleep periods and slow eye movement. So, what you experienced could have been a dream and not HI, but then again maybe not.

Most people don't realize how long they have been resting before they fall asleep. I've "blinked' and it was forty five minutes later. Prolly a dream.

*spooky ghost voice* You are still dreaming *end ghost voice*

I agree with Exobite, sometimes I'll zone out at the beginning of math class, and ten minutes later my teacher is yelling at me for not paying attention. true story, happened to me last week.

Although it may have been a dream or HI. You never know. As I said earlier, you may still be dreaming

Sounds like ADHD. I remember when I was a kid I'd "wake up" in typing class, and everybody around me would be typing like mad, and I'd realize it was a timed test.

I like the "spooky ghost voice"; can I use that?

Yeah. Sometimes I zone out while driving a car.
I don't come back around until the ambulances come with their big noisy sirens.

Yea I do that too; suddenly you are where you were going and you don't remember getting there. Kind of the opposite of trying to be in the moment and aware of you surroundings so you can realize when you are dreaming better. No wonder I suck at lucid dreaming.

I think it could have been HI, but then again, maybe daydreams are nothing more than HIs gone wild!

I once had a very vivid HI while attempting a WILD nap. I tried to jump into the dream by climbing a tree. I can see the tree and the surroundings clearly, as well as my dream body. My dream body was climbing the tree, but as I moved my dream arms and my dream legs, I felt my real body move. I could feel the blanket, and I felt it tug. And then I realized I could still hear the traffic outside, instead of dream noises. The HI faded after that... dang! could have followed me, thought it was a dream already

I've tried that during an extremely boring biology class. I saw my 2 friends talking about the trashcan close, and they started to cut it into pieces. I then opened my eyes, and saw both of my friends, almost sleeping aswell.

It's just very vivid HI, I'd say.

When I was younger, I would be watching TV on the couch, and next thing I know, the show is over and I'm on the floor, but I don't remember anything in between...

3 Years ago in 8th grade I was in science class and my teacher had the lights off to show us something with the sun rotation and stuff. I decided to take a little nap and I closed my eyes and about 3 minutes later I woke up to having a dream of making a paper ball while sitting at my desk while my teacher was talking and I threw it as hard as I could and it curved and hit the wall. Then that second that it hit the wall in my dream I woke up to some one dropping something and it was really loud. Like the instant I saw the ball hit the wall I woke up to the loud noise. But it was in like minutes time span.

I had a post earlier about how sometimes things happen in your dream, and they coincide with things that are happening in real life... however, in the dream there are actually events that LEAD UP to the event that happens in real life....
...for instance:
In my dream, someone someone walks up and raises their hand up in the air. Then they slam it down. Just as their hand hits a surface, there will be a loud noise in real life.

Sure, it could be coincidence, but it happens all the time.

Other people responded to this post and said that similar things had happened to them.
Weird.

...Blue Meanie? You're an Admin??

OOH! It confused me, because I specifically remembered having a conversation entirely about the fact that Blue was NOT an admin. LOL
Then he had stars!!

I like green MUCH better than red anyway.
