Weather and Time of Day

The weather tends to vary a lot in my dreams, as does the day/night status. Sometimes it's sunny, other times it's overcast, etc. It seems to be dark out about half of the time.

I'm wondering whether other people's subconsciousnesses, in fabricating their dreams, favour any particular weather or time of the day. Do most of your dreams take place in the day or the night? Is there any weather that occurs more frequently than others?

I also wonder what these states mean to us subconsciously. Do you think it means anything to you? Do your night-dreams tend to have any particular atmosphere, mood or plot to them, or is it just random?

My dreams are sunny and during the day probably 80-90% of the time. In the few dreams I can remember where it's been nighttime, it randomly changed to daytime while I was focused on some event. As for weather, I occasionally (like once in a blue moon) have a dream where it's raining or snowing outside, but I'm never actually in it. I honestly can't ever remember having a dream where it wasn't perfectly clear where I was (or at least where there was weather and I wasn't inside).

Given that, it's kind of hard to answer your last question.... I think my night dreams are usually really trippy. Perhaps a reflection on all the drugs I did overnight at clubs?

In most of my LDs the weather is neutral. It is not warm or cold and scattered clouds on a grey or blue background. If I care to think about the weather it take whatever shape fits the story. I do not like snow so I rarely let there be snow in my dreams. I love it when it is raining in a vivid LD! It feels great to have the water run down my face. It is normally day time in my dreams, but I do sometimes have dreams in which it is night.
