My dreams are too weird to write down

My dream recall is currently equal to that of a rock. In part because I stopped writing in my dream journal. so recently, I started trying to write down my dreams again.

Problem is, my dreams are too weird to write down. They make sense when I am in the dream of course, but I wake up and think "What the heck was that all about?"

I can't write a dream journal if I don't know how to describe my own dreams.

      What do?

When most people make signatures, they put some inspirational quote, or a piece of advice, or a hilarious joke. But me, no I just put a dancing happy face on my signature. Cause that's how I roll.

Even my dreams are also too weird to tell someone. But, I always used to avoid all these dreams. I don’t think, there is a requirement to tell someone about your dreams. So chill..

People on this forum have done everything from taste feet-pickles to shooting their own children. How much weirder could it get?

Start with the setting, then describe what happens. Think about what you would say to your anonymous, unbiased friend while standing in the corner at a party after consuming your third alcoholic beverage.

      Good luck!

I understand. But in my case, the dream was so good when it was in my head, that when I turned them to words they just look less than pleasant.

If you're keen on remembering your dreams in the future, you should just write them down. They'll get better as days passes. Besides all you need is a little fragment here and there to trigger your recollection of the dreams in the future. So even if the dream journals you wrote isn't exactly like what had happened in the dream, it'll still help you to recall them because it is your dream.

It sounds to me like you just need to bypass your self-censor and just write. Scrawl down anything that comes to mind, if the dream doesn't form a coherent narrative you could just bullet point anything, sights, sounds etc.
