      Sharp dream recall is disorienting upon wakeup?

      Does anyone else find that if they have a *really* vivid dream, when they wake up, they'll feel disoriented? Even hours after waking up?

      I had one awesome set of (non-lucid) dreams last night, but it's taking me a few hours to kind of refocus myself and reorient myself. The most it's ever taken me is a minute or two.

      It happens to me sometimes too I get them where I just feel fuzzy and disconnected from life for the day because dream felt more like reality and than reality does. I have also had the dreams that I reference later thinking they actually did happen, just to find I'm remembering a dream not something real. My family has a saying, "Did I just dream it or did..." and then we go on to say what strange thing we think happened because its happened to all of us so much, lol.

      That happened to me after my first and second lucid (well I only have two...) because my feelings are more acute in lucid dreams. I know I was in reality but I find the need to constantly do reality checks and reassure myself. And I ended up slapping my face.
